Abstract

This study aims to describe the variations in teaching lecturers, variations in assignments and inhibiting factors for learning Indonesian for Bina Darma University students during the pandemic using qualitative descriptive methods as well as through interviews and observations. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed: (1) The teaching variations of the lecturers were very diverse, which was adjusted to the mastery and skills of the lecturers in using IT to interact with students, such as using E-Learning, E-Mail, Zoom, Google Classroom, WhatsApp, Youtube content; (2) Variations in assignment are also very diverse according to the ability of lecturers to use IT; (3) External and internal factors are inhibiting factors for the variation of Indonesian Language learning among Bina Darma University Students during the Pandemic Period.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the forms of directive speech acts that exist in the reader's voice in the Mang Sripo Report rubric of the Sriwijaya Post newspaper. Data analysis was carried out in research since the data collection process. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the form of directive speech acts contained in the Mang Sripo Report Rubric: the voices of readers of the Sriwijaya Post newspaper which the author found had twelve data consisting of the form of asking for seven utterances; ask as many as four utterances, and prohibit as many as one utterances; Of the three forms that have been found, the form that is most commonly found in the form of asking.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and interpret slang messages used in daily conversations, especially those used among young people, and create material content on the social media platform 'Bahasa Gaul-Bahasa Indonesia.' Instagram is the social media platform used to include the material content of the slang findings from this research. So, the results of the research can be used as a medium for speakers to learn Indonesian, especially the language of daily communication, with the selection of appropriate diction so that communication becomes more efficient and effective. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data collection technique used was the document technique. The data is in the form of recordings of the slang vocabulary used by Palembang speakers. The observed utterances were taken randomly for 30 minutes, either in situations in the canteen, in class, with relatives, or in the researcher's neighborhood. The number of utterances obtained was 107 utterances, with 40 speakers. The data analysis technique uses semiotic techniques with a pragmatic approach. The findings in this study are 100 slang words used in Palembang Sari-Sari conversations by Palembang speakers who are the subjects of this study. Then, the results of the findings and analysis are used as content on the Instagram platform of Bahasa Gaul-Bahasa Palembang-Bahasa Indonesia (BBG-Belajar Bahasa Gaul), with the Instagram name @belajar_bahasa_gaul.
