Abstract

Main problems is hypertension sufferers are required to take antihypertensive medication routinely to reduce blood pressure but there are still many patients who are not compliant, non-pharmacological treatment is consuming ambon banana. The purpose of this study was to study the effect of giving ambon banana to blood pressure in patients with hypertension in Villa Balaraja Residence Rt 010 Rw 005. The population in this study was 70 patients with hypertension. The sample of this study was 45 respondents consisting of 2 groups namely 30 intervention groups and 15 control groups were taken by purposive sampling technique.. Data obtained by measuring blood using a sphygmomanometer. The results of data analysis using paired Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test produced a p-value of 0,000 (p <0.05). The conclusion of this study is the additional assistance of ambon banana to reduce blood pressure in patients with hypertension. Suggestions are expected for hypertension sufferers to be consumed regularly.
