Abstract

Based on the results of interviews conducted with grade 2 teachers of YPK Bethania Mariadei Elementary School, it was obtained that students still had difficulty in understanding the material on addition and subtraction operations (borrowing and without borrowing). After conducting initial observations to measure students' initial abilities, the following information was obtained: 1) 2 students out of 21 students with a percentage of 9.5% obtained scores above or reaching the KKM, 2) 19 students out of 21 students with a percentage of 90.5% had not obtained scores reaching the KKM. As for the minimum completion score in Mathematics, it is 60 with a success indicator of ≥ 75%. The purpose of this study is to improve students' addition and subtraction arithmetic skills through the use of the cliff board learning media (addition and subtraction). This study uses a classroom action research method. Data collection was taken using a learning outcome test on the ability to count addition and subtraction arithmetic and observations for teacher and student activities using qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results achieved after implementing the ravine board media (addition and subtraction) are that in learning activities it was found that there was an increase in student abilities above the KKM in cycle I reaching 42.9% while in cycle II it reached 86%. So it can be concluded that the application of the ravine board learning media (addition and subtraction) can improve the ability to calculate addition and subtraction in grade 2 students of YPK Bethania Mariadei Elementary School

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in science learning motivation through concrete learning media in fourth grade students of YPK Sarawandori Elementary School. This research is a classroom action research. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students with a total of 12 students. While the object of this research is students' science learning motivation after participating in learning by implementing concrete learning media. The data collection method used to collect data on students' science learning motivation is the questionnaire method. The data analysis technique used in this classroom action research is a quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of the study are evidenced by an increase in science learning motivation from the results of the questionnaire analysis in cycle I showing an average value of 67.5 with a percentage of completeness of 58%, increasing in cycle II with an average value of 88 and a percentage of completeness of 100%. Thus, these results indicate that concrete learning media can increase science learning motivation in fourth grade students of YPK Sarawandori Elementary School.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of PPKn learning outcomes through the use of literacy tree media in grade V students of YPK Mariarotu Elementary School. The research conducted was classroom action research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection which included four meetings. The subjects of this study were 21 grade V students of YPK Mariarotu Elementary School consisting of 11 males and 10 females. Data collection techniques were observation, testing (evaluation), and documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results achieved quantitatively were (1) The application of literacy tree media in student activity, response and learning outcomes of grade V students of YPK Mariarotu Elementary School, namely an increase in student activity and courage in each cycle, where student activity in cycle I with an average value of 49.3 in the less active category increased in cycle II to 88.1 in the very active category. (2) Improvement in PPKn learning outcomes and student learning activities in accordance with the results of observations during the classroom action process. The average value obtained by students after taking the final test from cycle I to cycle II after the learning model was applied increased from 59.3 in cycle I to 87.9 in cycle II. The learning completion of PPKn of grade V students of SD YPK Mariarotu also increased. In cycle I, from 9 (42.8%) students to cycle II as many as 18 (85.7%) students achieved learning completion and classical learning completion was achieved, namely 80%. The conclusion is that the literacy tree can improve PPKn learning outcomes and the activeness of grade V students of SD YPK Mariarotu.
