Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze palm oil on economic of Bengkulu Province. Base on BPS secondary and primary data, descriftive analysis was used to analyze the palm oil contribution on economic of Bengkulu Province. Land area of palm oil is more 50% than all of plantation land area in Bengkulu. The high productivity of CPO, palm oil is very potential commodity to increase Bengkulu economic. There are strong and positive correlation between palm oil land area with income disparities over the regent/city, the poverty rate, and income percapita. Activities of Palm oil plantation in 2022 relatively stable, but respondent predict will increase on Triwulan IV-2022. The respondent optimism made a prediction of labor absorption increase. Positive impact of the business on society welfare create by employment multipier and income multiplier effect.   Keywords:  Palm oil, poverty.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine Bengkulu MSEs strategy in digital economy era. The most of MSEs were conventional management. Its due to not only the millennial businessmen, but the most of them is from the baby boomer generation. The use of technology has not yet become a culture, so the challenge more difficult with millennial consumers and more competitive with millennial businessman. The result from SWOT analysis is the weakness more than the strenghts and the opportunities has more than the threats. The strategy to develop MSEs is stability strategy (turn around). The strategies are: easier access to financial institution (bank), increasing socialization and simplification of lending requirements, conduct training of tehnology, digital payment system and e-commerce, provide assistance in administrative completeness, implementation of promotion events regularly. Keywords :  Micro Small Enterprises, Strategy, Digital Economy Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan strategi Bengkulu SME di era ekonomi digital. Sebagian besar SME adalah manajemen konvensional. Hal ini disebabkan tidak hanya oleh para pengusaha milenial, tetapi sebagian besar dari mereka berasal dari generasi baby boomer. Penggunaan teknologi belum menjadi budaya, sehingga tantangan lebih sulit dengan konsumen milenial dan lebih kompetitif dengan pengusaha millenial. Hasil dari analisis SWOT adalah kelemahan lebih dari kekuatan dan peluang lebih dari ancaman. Strategi untuk mengembangkan SME adalah strategi stabilitas (turn around). Strategi-strategi tersebut adalah: memfasilitasi akses ke lembaga keuangan (bank), meningkatkan sosialisasi dan menyederhanakan persyaratan pinjaman, melakukan pelatihan teknologi, sistem pembayaran digital dan e-commerce, memberikan bantuan dalam kelengkapan administrasi, implementasi acara promosi secara teratur. Abstract

In the development process, human resource is crucial determinant. Not only about the quantity, it also the quality. HDI is an indicator of human development which form of tree composite index; education index, healthy index, and standard of living index. To increase the HDI, one of the ways is to improve the healthy index by create programs of healthy development that could be increase the number of expecting life. The awareness of quality of life is important in a society. The herbal plants can be source of society healthy. The herbal plants usually to produce “jamu”, is a traditional medicine in Indonesia. It can be preventive or curative treatment for healthy. In Karang Panggung Village, there are many herbal plants but the people usually just for cooking or to sell original form. So, how to create something new must introduced to them. Not only for healthy, but it can be created value added.

Abstract

HDI, or Human Development Index, is a measure used to assess the level of human quality development in a country. The purpose of this research is to see the effect of government expenditure on education and health as well as GRDP on the level of HDI in the Regency/City of Bengkulu Province. The analysis method in this study uses panel data regression and uses Stata/MP 14.0 software. Panel data covering 10 regencies/cities in Bengkulu Province for a period of 7 years, namely 2015-2021. The results of the research conducted have a significant influence between health expenditure, and GRDP on HDI in the Regency/City of Bengkulu Province. However, education expenditure does not have a significant effect on HDI in the Regency/City of Bengkulu Province. Through health expenditure and GRDP, it is hoped that it can improve the quality of life of people in Bengkulu Province.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTingkat kemiskinan masih menjadi permasalahan utama saat ini. Ketidakmampuan dari sisi ekonomi mengakibatkan kemiskinan meningkat di tengah masyarakat sehingga mereka kesulitan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsinya. Pada periode September 2022 ada 15 provinsi termiskin di Indonesia termasuk 4 provinsi dari Pulau Sumatera yang masuk dalam  kategori  provinsi termiskin, diantaranya ialah Aceh, Bengkulu, Sumatera Selatan dan Lampung yang angka kemiskinannya lebih tinggi dibanding  provinsi lain. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh dari distribusi pendapatan, pendidikan, dan investasi terhadap tingkat kemiskinan di Pulau Sumatera. Metode analisis dalam penelitian menggunakan regresi data panel. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang dihimpun dari Badan Pusat Statistik tahun 2011 hingga 2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan antara distribusi pendapatan, dan pendidikan terhadap kemiskinan di Pulau Sumatera. Akan tetapi investasi tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemiskinan di Pulau Sumatera. Melaui pemerataan distribusi pendapatan, serta meningkatkan pendidikan dan investasi diharapkan dapat mampu menurunkan kemiskinan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat di Pulau Sumatera.Kata kunci: Kemiskinan, Distribusi Pendapatan, Pendidikan, InvestasiABSTRACTThe level of poverty remains a significant issue at present. Economic inability has led to an increase in poverty within the community, making it difficult for them to meet their consumption needs. In September 2022, there were 15 of the poorest provinces in Indonesia, including 4 provinces from Sumatera Island that fell into the category of the poorest provinces. These provinces include Aceh, Bengkulu, South Sumatera, and Lampung, which had higher poverty rates compared to other provinces. The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of income distribution, education, and investment on the poverty level in Sumatera Island. The research utilized panel data regression analysis. The data used in this study were secondary data collected from the Central Bureau of Statistics from 2011 to 2022. The research results indicate a significant influence of income distribution and education on poverty in Sumatera Island. However, investment does not have a significant impact on poverty in Sumatera Island. Through income distribution equalization and by enhancing education and investment, it is hoped that poverty can be reduced to improve the quality of life for the people in Sumatera Island.Keywords: Poverty, Income Distribution, Education, Investment.
