Abstract

The study examined conceptual metaphors related to news on social media and explored the cultural role of creating conceptualization from a cultural perspective. The research analysis technique for the metaphorical identification procedure was inspired by charteris-black's (2004). Based on helpful and discursive cultural approaches to social media data, the study has found metaphorical conceptualization under three high-level conceptual metaphors: news asa threat to human life, news asa threat to human life and the ruling party as kind and good examples eliminate the threat. This metaphorical construction seems to be closely related to the cultural social news that is diverting from virtue, virtue is the essence of human life and rulers will be an example of virtue and live good governance, which stems from Confucian teachings and modern dominant ideology. Some cultural images are also encoded in this research data and have provided a context for the metaphorical concept of the news. The cultural construction above marks a unique news in the lexical, conceptual and cultural aspects. They also had ideological goals to build a positive image for the ruling party. The paper called for more awareness and exploration of cultural concepts. That is, the study discussed is more rooted

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang dapat memberikan peluang pengembangan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat terutama peningkatan karakter profetik melalui kegiatan optimalisasi peran Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Sumberjatipohon, Rt 04/Rw 01 Kecamatan Grobogan, Kabupaten Grobogan sejak 01 Februari sampai 06 Maret 2021. Pengabdian ini dapat terlaksana dengan baik karena didukung oleh masyarakat sekitar. Adapun tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah optimalisasi karakter profetik yang didapatkan anak-anak Desa Sumberjatipohon melalui beberapa kegiatan pada Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pendampingan secara langsung, seperti kegiatan belajar Iqra, membaca Al-Quran, menyaksikan tayangan yang memiliki nilai edukasi, dan bimbingan belajar. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah penguatan karakter profetik pada anak setelah intensif mengikuti kegiatan di Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran

Abstract

A particular emphasis will be placed on the banner manufacturing service that Surya Printing Lampung offers to accomplish the purpose of this research, which is to investigate the influence of the promotion mix (7P) on the purchasing decision of consumers. A total of 96 samples, as part of this investigation, were used to perform multiple regression. The assistance of SPSS version 23 was used. According to the obtained regression analysis, factors such as value, position, location, and procedures, as well as physical evidence, have a favorable and significant impact through statistics on retail customers' purchasing decision. Off-product and people variables, on the other hand, do not provide evidence of such a link. While this is going on, the marketing mix (7P), which is determined by the F test, is affecting the decision to purchase banner manufacturing services from Surya Printing Lampung.
