Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in student activity and learning outcomes by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The teacher conveys the objectives, the main points of learning, conducts group discussions, exercises questions, provides learning motivation and conclusions on the material for Accounting Transactions for Class XI Accounting Satker at SMK N Jatipuro.This research is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles. Each cycle is held twice in meetings starting with the stages of action planning, implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and reflection. The method of data collection is done by means of observation. Data analysis was carried out by comparing the test results in cycle 1 and cycle 2 with descriptive techniques. This means that the data obtained in this study are presented as they are and then analyzed descriptively to get an overview of the facts and describe them according to the phenomenon. Meanwhile, to measure student achievement using the class average system on the results of the evaluation of each cycle.The results showed that the achievement and learning activities of class XI Accounting students at SMK N Jatipuro in the Satker Revenue Accounting Transactions material increased, this was shown from: The increase in the average grade from cycle I to cycle II increased from 91 to 95. In cycle 2 the category of very high scores of students increased from 14 students to 16 students.
