Abstract

This paper proposes KILAO, an IoT-based self-service laundry kiosk connected with a mobile application that aims to improve the laundry experience by improving user convenience and operational efficiency. This study aims to streamline the washing process using autonomous payment systems, real-time monitoring, and AI-based queue management, resulting in better resource utilization and higher user satisfaction. The development technique comprises identification and requirement gathering, development of both software and hardware prototypes, and evaluation of the prototype. In the requirement-gathering phase, the design of a kiosk machine that consists of hardware and software is defined by combining regular washing machines with IoT technologies for remote control and monitoring. We also developed a mobile application to engage with the kiosk machine. The kiosk simplifies the choice of laundry bundles and accepts various payment options, including cash, cashless transactions, and card-based purchases. The evaluation procedure of the prototype was conducted by using expert evaluations. They are from academics and industry professionals who verified the system’s effectiveness and market potential. The results have shown several unique selling features for KILAO. Extensive payment options and self-service operations were highlighted from the customer’s perspective as key benefits. From the seller’s perspective, its interoperability with traditional washing machines enables a low-cost shift to intelligent, self-service operations, eliminating the need for pricey coin-operated machines. Also, the automatic monitoring system that detects cycle completion can reduce waiting times and improve energy efficiency. In summary, KILAO presents a significant advancement in laundry automation by integrating IoT and AI. Moreover, the Gradient boosting algorithm forecasts waiting times and gives real-time information on machine availability, removing the need for physical queueing. The research demonstrates that KILAO’s capability to provide self-service laundry by providing a user-friendly mobile application can enhance user experience, operational efficiency, and energy utilization.

Abstract

Job vacancies are the most sought after during the current COVID-19 pandemic—the number of layoffs by companies experiencing problems in their business. Many people become unemployed, and income levels decrease while their needs must still be met. This has an impact on the number of people looking for job vacancies. Often found job seekers and job seekers seeking information still through mass media, banners, posters, billboards, and word of mouth. This search and recruitment model will not be efficient and will not be right on target. The solution offered to overcome these problems is to create a website for job vacancies, recruitment, and job applications. The research method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD) to find out the website creation process carried out in a short and influential period. The research flow is looking for references, determining project needs by making UI design and database design, making prototypes, testing, refining, developing features, feedback questionnaires, and project implementation. This research resulted in a job vacancy website called "AntiNggur". This website is expected to facilitate the dissemination of information on job vacancies, the job search process, and the process of recruiting new workers that are more effective and more targeted.

Abstract

Efforts to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS require effective education to the public. One innovative approach to conveying information involves the role of technology and interactive media, such as animation, to improve instruction quality. One of the challenges faced by the Hulu Gurung Community Health Center is increasing public awareness about the prevention and dangers of HIV/AIDS. Conventional extension methods, such as lectures and brochures, are starting to receive less attention from the public. 2D animated videos use motion graphic techniques by applying pre-production, production, and post-production design methods. The research data collection used interviews and direct observation methods at the Hulu Gurung Community Health Center. The results of this video were tested using a questionnaire with testing based on the information and multimedia elements used. The results of the questionnaire are calculated using a Likert Scale. The results of this educational video were implemented on the social media platforms Instagram and YouTube. This research can increase knowledge about making animated videos using motion graphic techniques.

Abstract

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted in Bausasran Village, focusing on assisting MSME members of the PKK in producing video content and editing using the CapCut application. The background of this program is the limited ability of MSMEs to create engaging visual content, even though video plays an essential role in improving product promotion and attractiveness on social media. The aim of this activity is to enhance partners’ skills in digital marketing management through mastering video shooting and editing techniques with CapCut. The method was carried out through a one-day intensive training consisting of hands-on product video creation, introduction to CapCut’s main features, and personalized mentoring for participants. The evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-training questionnaires to measure the improvement in participants’ knowledge and skills. The results show a significant improvement from 24 participants. The average pre-training score was 20.7, which increased to 38.7 in the post-training session, with an average improvement of 18 points or 159.3%. A total of 22 participants showed improvement, 2 participants remained the same, and none experienced a decrease. These findings indicate that the training effectively enhanced participants’ skills in managing video content for product promotion. The participants not only gained an understanding of the importance of digital marketing but also developed the ability to produce simple promotional videos ready for publication on social media. This mentoring activity proved effective in supporting the digital transformation of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at the village level, while also strengthening their product marketing strategies through visual content.
