Abstract

Background: Given the extensive use of e-learning, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, a validated instrument is deemed important for continuous evaluation. This study aimed to measure health profession education students’ satisfaction toward the e-learning process within all health sciences cluster (HSC) courses, following further validation of the satisfaction scale for the e-learning process. Methods: A cross-sectional study using an exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was conducted to validate the 29-item Indonesian version of the satisfaction scale for the e-learning process. That the validated tool was used to measure 2,471 students’ satisfaction toward the e-learning process. Results: The EFA resulted in 19 items divided into three subscales: the teaching process (5 items), the instructional content (4 items), and the interaction and evaluation (10 items). The scores of students’ satisfaction toward the e-learning process are at 84–94% of the possible maximum score of the whole instrument or each subscale. Conclusions: The Indonesian version of the satisfaction scale for the e-learning process serves as a valid tool to measure students’ satisfaction toward e-learning. Current students have relatively good perceptions toward e-learning used in all HSC courses, including the interaction domain, which is an important aspect in an e-learning system. Strategies are warranted to maintain and further improve the e-learning process.

Abstract

Diabetes is the fourth leading cause of death in the world. Ninety percent of the world's DM cases are dominated by type 2. International Diabetes Federation predicted the incidence and mortality rate of diabetes are increasing by 2045. Diabetes causes macrovascular complications that contribute to cardiovascular death, and microvascular which a risk factor for blindness, lower-extremity amputation, kidney failure, and death. One of the efforts to control complications from diabetes is done through diabetes self-management consists of education, medical nutrition therapy, pharmacological therapy, and physical exercise. The main purpose of implementing DSM is that patients can prevent or slow the onset of complications from diabetes itself. This study aims to summarize and systematically synthesize the clinical and non-clinical effectiveness and resume the cost-analysis of DSM implementation. Several electronic databases will be used: Medline via PubMed, and Embase. The complete evidence will be summarized and critically appraised using Cochrane guidelines and JBI Critical Appraisal Checklist for RCT and cohort studies. In terms of analysis, we will qualitative-quantitatively appraise and present the studies that meet our inclusion criteria. We are expected to summarize the quality and capture the valuable insights related to the study of effectiveness in implementing diabetes self-management of T2DM.

Abstract

Production is one of the important things in economic activity. The purpose of production is to provide goods and services that can provide maximum benefits for consumers to meet their needs and to full fill the facilities of social activities and worship of God. Even though the main purpose of producing is to provide benefits and gain a lot of profit, Islam does not prohibit it as long as it is within the goals and Islamic law. In Islam, carrying out production activities must be based on Islamic values, namely, they must not conflict with religion, soul, reason, and things that can lead to harm. Production priority must be in accordance with priority needs, namely dharuriyyat, hajyiyat and tahsiniyat.
