Abstract

This study aims to assess the strengths and weaknesses of paradiplomacy in Aceh Province, particularly in the context of the tourism sector, with the aim of economic improvement through the utilization of Aceh's potential. This research employs a thorough literature study to gather relevant data and insights using a qualitative approach. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of paradiplomacy in promoting Aceh's tourism, emphasizing its role in improving economic prospects through halal tourism. This study reveals that paradiplomacy is an essential instrument for Aceh Province in utilizing natural resources, primarily through the promotion of halal tourism. The Aceh government actively engages with the global community, positioning Aceh as a desirable destination in the halal tourism sector. In addition, this paper highlights the role of disaster diplomacy as an avenue to implement paradiplomacy in Aceh, utilizing tourism potential for economic gain. Although Aceh has significant untapped tourism potential, several challenges must be overcome to realize its full economic benefits. Infrastructure limitations limited human resources, and lack of promotion emerge as critical obstacles. This study underscores the importance of active government involvement, supported by the Law on Governing Aceh (UUPA), to address these challenges and maximize Aceh's strengths in the tourism sector.

Abstract

Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is critical to preventing gender inequality and increasing political participation. These goals require governments and communities to strengthen gender equality and empower women through public policy, legislation, and gender mainstreaming. The role of women is very important in development, both from an economic, political, and social perspective. To address inequality in the financial and political spheres, efforts involving all sectors of life and community participation are needed. Communities play a key role in changing the view that women are unnecessary in economic, social, and political involvement, especially in coastal areas. Therefore, we held training in Kampung Nelayan Seberang Belawan, far from the city center, to discuss with the community the importance of women's participation in development. This training is expected to help the people of Kampung Nelayan Seberang understand the importance of women's role in development (economic, political, social). This abdimas activity is useful for students, lecturers, the University, and the community to provide knowledge so that international relations study programs can be useful in the community. It is hoped that the people of Kampung Nelayan Seberang can take advantage of this activity to consider community participation in the development field (economic, political, social

Abstract

It has been more than one year that the Covid-19 pandemic has hit Indonesia. In the face of this pandemic, governments from the national and district levels have responded with policies that limit social activities, resulting in decreased mobility in the community to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. This ultimately has an impact on economic growth. In addition, policies in the health sector are also the main thing, starting from the handling of Covid19 patients at the beginning of the pandemic to the provision of vaccines in the New Normal era. The focus of this writing will look at the transformation of local government policies in the New Normal era of two districts in Indonesia, namely South Bengkulu (Bengkulu) and Pidie (Aceh) to maintain economic stability and health in their regions. By using a policy implementation approach and qualitative descriptive analysis methods, this article aims to understand how local government policies transform in the pandemic era. This study concludes that the policy transformation of the local government of Bengkulu Selatan and Pidie districts in maintaining economic stability and the district generally follows the rules from the central government, but is adjusted to the situation and conditions of the district, such as the Covid-19 transmission rate and the budget owned by each region respectively.
