Abstract

Introduction: Mycology is one of subject Medical Laboratoty Tecnology Study Program..Some of students especially Medical Laboratory TechnologyStudy Program are not familiar with macroscopic fungi. So far, they know about macroscopic fungi from several sources such as:the internet and reserach journals. Add more, mushroom habitat in North Sumatera is very good for its growth, it is worth doing research to determine the types of macroscopic fungi that live and grow in it. Method:The researchmethod used isCruise method. There are two observation stations with 4 point route cruises. The fungal samples found were analyzed by descriptive method (Mueller et al., 2004). Fungal specimens are collected and identified in the field and laboratory. Basidiomycetes identification using several macroscopic fungal identification books like David Arora (1986) dan Simon & Schuster’s (1979)and thesis and journals on macroscopic fungi. Data analysis was done descriptively, the data from the identification results are tabulated and presented in tabular form. Result: Based on the results of research that has been done, obtained 49 types of macroscopic fungi that are included in the Basidiomycetes.Discussion: Macroscopic fungi usually found in hygrophyte habitats are the Basidiomycetes group of fungi. Basidiomycetes found were 5 orders, 17 families and 49 spesies. The most common species of fungi are members of the Order of Agaricales which consists of 29 species and the Order of Aphyllophorales of 15 species. This is because the Agaricales and Aphyllophorales groups have the ability to adapt well compared to other orders. The families that had the highest percentage of species were the Tricholomataceae and Polyporaceae families. This fungus is easy to find because it can grow in various habitats.

Abstract

Hemoglobin Levels and erythrocyte sedimentation rate in people with diabetes mellitus often experience a decrease and increase due to uncontrolled eating patterns, drinking medicine is not routine, exercise is not regular. This can cause the patient to experience anemia due to decreased hemoglobin and inflammation due to increased erythrocyte sedimentation rate. Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan in 2022 This study used a descriptive analytic design. The population in this study 46 people sample 31 with the technique of purposive sampling. Data collection is done using a check tool hemoglobin levels, namely hematology analyzer pentra ABX 60 and for erythrocyte sedimentation rate using the Westergreen method. The results showed that the minimum value of hemoglobin level was 1 and the maximum value of hemoglobin was 4, the average value of hemoglobin was 2.58 with a standard deviation of 0.848. Results The minimum value for the erythrocyte sedimentation rate is 2 and the maximum value of the erythrocyte sedimentation rate is 4, the average value of the erythrocyte sedimentation rate is 2.74 with a standard deviation of 0.930. So, the results of the study there was a decrease in hemoglobin levels and an increase in the level of erythrocyte sedimentation rate. Suggestions in conducting research on hemoglobin examination and erythrocyte sedimentation rate follow the procedure according to the SOP and use complete personal protective equipment.

Abstract

Chronic renal failure (CKD) is a clinical syndrome due to a persistent decline in kidney function due to nephron damage. Efforts reduce serum creatinine levels are of course by improving the function of the kidneys, namely by hemodialysis. This study aims to analyze the results of blood creatinine levels in patients with chronic renal failure pre and post hemodialysis at Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan 2022. This study uses a descriptive cross-sectional approach with population in this study are 178 people and a sample of 64 people. Data collection is carried out using an analyzer. The results showed an increase in pre-hemodialysis creatinine levels as many as 33 samples (51.6%). and results of post hemodialysis decreased by 29 samples (45.3%). The results of the average pre and post hemodialysis blood creatinine levels show that the pre hemodialysis blood creatinine average level was 8.5398 mg/dl. The post hemodialysis average blood creatinine level is 5.4333 mg/dl. It can be concluded that there is a change in the pre-hemodialysis average blood creatinine level. and post hemodialysis is 4 mg/dl. From the results of measurements of blood creatinine levels of the study sample, it was found that most of the patients undergoing hemodialysis were abnormal
