Abstract

The objectives of this research are describing (1) the social construction to develop entrepreneurial motivation and mentality of the grade XI students at SMK Negeri 5 Palu; (2) the impact of entrepreneurship education on the motivation and entrepreneurial mentality of the grade XI students at SMK Negeri 5 Palu. This research is a qualitative descriptive approach. The unit of analysis was grade XI students majoring creative craft of batik and textile at SMK Negeri 5 Palu. Purposive sampling technique was used to determine 13 informants consisted of 3 teachers and 9 was grade XI students majoring creative craft of batik and textile. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that (1) the social construction to develop entrepreneurial motivation and mentality of the grade XI students at SMK Negeri 5 Palu was done with emphasis on the three most important aspects in the process of social construction, namely Stock of Knowledge, Mind sets and Social Products; (2) the impact of entrepreneurship education on the formation of entrepreneurial values in Class XI students of SMK Negeri 5 Palu includes hard work that can be seen from their earnest efforts in completing tasks and overcoming various obstacles. Creative development can develop creativity in creating new combinations from pre-existing results, so as to produce something new that is action-oriented which can be seen from the initiative to act, not only waiting for someone to start first, but they prefer to work directly rather than just saying. The development of independence can be seen from their ability to do their respective tasks given, they are confident in their abilities, and have a future-oriented that can be seen from their willingness after graduating from school, and finally, most of them want to open a business with the knowledge they get and have a future orientation.

Abstract

This research aims to describe teachers' efforts to increase student motivation, find out the learning media used and the magnitude of the increase in student motivation in learning social studies using audio-visual media. The subjects of this research were fifth grade students at SDN Dampala, Bahodopi District, who were active in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. This research uses a qualitative description method based on an assessment rubric in the form of observation sheets, documentation and interviews. The results of the research show that teachers' efforts to increase student motivation can be seen from the better student response to the learning process, collaboration between students and also between students and teachers, as well as the creation of a supportive learning environment which is an important factor in increasing student motivation. The use of learning media can be seen from. The positive impact on student motivation during the learning process and increasing student motivation in social studies learning shows that effective integration of audio-visual media in learning can increase students' attention to social studies learning material.
