Abstract

This study aims to describe ethnomathematics activities in the manufacturing process, explain the two-dimensional figure, and describe the introduction of social arithmetic through motifs on Tapis Lampung. The sample in this study is the home craftsman and homeowners of Tapis Lampung production. This type of research is a qualitative study using an ethnographic approach, where research is conducted to explore human behavior that occurs in certain cultures. The data collection technique is by interview, observation, and documentation. The results of this study are as follows: 1) the existence of ethnomathematics activity in the manufacture of Tapis Lampung; 2) on six motifs of Tapis Lampung in which there are two-dimensional figures, namely square, triangle, trapezoidal, rectangular, rhombus, kite, and circle; 3) based on the size and results of the final product of Tapis Lampung, a mathematical topic is found, namely social arithmetic at the sale price.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a learning trajectory and analyze the angle measurement material using the context of gymnastic movements. The method used in this study is a design research method with the type of validation studies with the PMRI approach. The subjects in this study were pre-service elementary school teacher, totaling 6 people in the pilot experiment and 24 people in the teaching experiment. Data collection techniques using tests, observation and documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively on test results, observations and documentation obtained. The results of this study are in the form of material design and the results of an analysis of angle measurements using the context of gymnastics in the angle measurement material about angle sizes, angle shapes and types of angles form of a learning trajectory. Gymnastic movements are viewed from the movements of the hands, feet, limbs that form an angle.

Abstract

The guided discovery and guided discovery learning models make students more active and discover things during class learning. This research aims to find out how the guided discovery learning model and the guided discovery model differ on cognitive mathematics learning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative research using experimental methods. The sample in this study was the VA and VB classes at SD Xaverius 4 Palembang totaling 54 people through simple random sampling. Data collection techniques used in research are interviews, tests and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are validity test, reliability test, data normality test, homogeneity test, and independent sample t-test. The results of the research show that there are differences in cognitive learning outcomes using the guided discovery learning model and the guided discovery model on the cognitive mathematics learning outcomes of class V students at SD Xaverius 4 Palembang. The results of this research can be used in the world of education in terms of the use of learning models during the mathematics learning process
