Abstract

The millennial generation tends to feel free from religious control and metaphysical views, thus viewing modern life as something temporary and instantaneous. This is often accompanied by individualistic, hedonistic, and wasteful attitudes and wastes of wealth and time. This kind of mindset pushes people away from the core of religious understanding, which ultimately leads to a spiritual vacuum. To overcome this problem, the proposed solution is to return to religion through the deepening of Sufism, especially by adopting zuhud behavior. This research aims to analyze the book Minhaj al-Abidin by Imam Al-Ghazali, especially in the chapter that discusses zuhud, as an effort to solve the spiritual problems of the millennial generation. This research is a library research, where data is collected through a review of books, scientific reports, and other scientific works. The data collection method used is documentation, namely by studying and interpreting literature according to the context. The results of this study reveal four main points. First, zuhud as a lifestyle for the millennial generation. Second, zuhud as a life motivation for the millennial generation. Third, zuhud as a solution to the spiritual problems of the millennial generation. Fourth, zuhud behavior is practiced by the students of the Baiturrahman Islamic Boarding School in Semarang Regency, Central Java. From these findings, the author argues that zuhud behavior can be a relevant lifestyle, a source of life motivation, and a solution to the spiritual crisis faced by this generation

Abstract

The Qur’an has a comprehensive view of the conception of education. Among the core of education is literacy. Student’s literacy skills are able to lead the nation’s generation to be literate and discover their potential. PISA research results in 2018 prove that Indonesia is ranked more than 10 and below in several assessment areas, such as reading, mathematics and science. The PISA 2018 data shows that the level of literacy in Indonesia is still low. Apart from the responsibility of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud) to develop educational policies, students also have a role as booster of the quality of education. Seeing the conception of literacy education from the perspective of the Qur’an, the KATABA Ma’had Al-Jami’ah became the object of research. The existence of this community acts as a support for the literacy atmosphere in the Ma’had environment which contributes to developing the world of writing and research. Through the qualitative method used in this study, the authors found that KATABA is a manifestation of the practice of the concept of literacy in Al-‘Alaq verses 1-5. The existence of literacy community among students contributes to the academic development of students. An increasing achievement index is one indicator of the success of the community in increasing the level of education in higher education.

Abstract

Abstract This paper aims to explain the qashash al-Qur'an about Prophet Ayyub (Job) in his fortitude and patience to face the examination, then take lessons and ibrah for the current social context, where the world community, especially Muslims, is experiencing an examination in the form of the arrival of the Covid 19 outbreak. This paper is the result of the library research with the title "Qashash al-Qur'an: The Study of the Prophet Job's Dua in Surah al-Anbiya 83-84 and Its Contextualization in the Pandemic Period". This article tries to provide an overview of the qashash al-Qur'an on the theme of the Prophet Ayyub with a descriptive-analytical method. So that the good values from an ancient story can be reflected or contextualized into the current condition as material for reflection, lessons, and examples. Based on the author's analysis, the study material is presented in the prayer of Prophet Ayyub which refers to Surah al-Anbiya verses 83-84, so that an understanding of the interpretation of the verse is found, then narrates how the attitude and faith of Prophet Ayyub did not waver despite problems, but he increases his sense of patience, always in gratitude and has a good attitude towards Allah SWT in whatever circumstances.
