Abstract

ABSTRACTCardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death globally in the world. One of the cardiovascular risk factor is hypercholesterolemic, signed by high total cholesterol levels in the blood. The purpose of this research is to know the correlation of given atherogenic diet duration toward total cholesterol level in male Wistar rat. This research is an experimental research with the post test-only control group design approach using 2-3 months old male rats (Rattus novergicus) with 160-240 g average weight range. The rats were divided into 4 groups such as control group given with standard diet, the 5 weeks atherogenic diet group, the 8 weeks atherogenic group, and the 12 weeks atherogenic group, each group consists of 6 rats. The atherogenic diet (2% cholesterol of egg yolk, 5% goat’s fat, and 0,2% cholic acid) is given amount to 20 g/each/day. Then cholesterol total serum was measured with CHOD-PAP method in the fifth week ,the eighth week and the twelfth week. The result of this research shows a significant difference (p=0,000). As for the post hoc test (p=0,000), there is a statistically significant difference within the experimental groups. In the Spearman test (0,967), there is a significant positive correlation between the given duration of the atherogenic diet toward the total cholesterol level. In this research we can conclude that the longer duration of the atherogenic diet is, the higher the cholesterol total in male Wistar rats (Rattus novergicus) will be.Keywords : Atherogenic diet, total cholesterol, rats (Rattus novergicus)

Abstract

E-KTP making service is one form of public service provided by the government. e-KTP as the official identity of the population which is regulated by the implementing agency which is valid throughout the region. Since the division of Kubu Babussalam sub-district in 2012 the e-KTP service has experienced various problems. So this study aims to analyze the public services in the management of e-KTP at the UPT Department of Population and Civil Registration in Kubu Babussalam sub-district and the obstacles in the implementation of these services. This research is a field research using descriptive research and a qualitative approach. The research location is at the UPT Department of Population and Civil Registration in Kubu Babussalam Subdistrict, Rokan Hilir Regency. This study uses the theory of responsiveness, responsiveness, and accountability in achieving research objectives. Then the data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. While the data analysis used qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques.The results of the study indicate that public services in managing e-KTP by the UPT Department of Population and Civil Registration in Kubu Babussalam District can be seen from three aspects, namely. (1) Responsiveness, by providing e-KTP services according to community needs, arranging service agendas and priorities and developing programs according to community needs and aspirations. (2) Responsibility, by conducting programs in order to fulfill demand figures and provide good service to the community. (3) Accountability, namely by following procedures or service procedures that are easy to understand by the public, and are not complicated. Then regarding the obstacles in service found such as recording machines, operator and network disturbances, queuing services, ignorant community members and the lack of signs in the service notification. Keywords: Public Service, e-KTP, UPT Department of Population and Civil Registry.

Abstract

Atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory disease caused by lipid deposition in arterial wall. Atherosclerosis could be induced in animal model (Rattus norvegicus) by feeding atherogenic diet. The objective of this research is to know the differences of histopathologic image between thoracic aorta of male white rat (Rattus norvegicus strain wistar) fed with standard diet and fed with atherogenic diet for 12 weeks. This research was an experimental laboratory with a post test only design. Twelve male rats were segregated into two groups (n=6) there were labelled as control group fed a standard diet and labelled as atherogenic group fed vitamin D3 and atherogenic diet which contain cholic acid 0,2%, fat 5% and yolk 2%. The experiment was designed for 12 weeks. The parameter used is atherosclerosis lesion score of all groups labelled. The result show that in atherogenic group there are macrophage, foam cell and intracellular lipid accumulation with 100% percentage, extracellular lipid accumulation 33,33% (for a little extracellular lipid), 66,66 (a lot of extracellular lipid) and surface defect with 0,16% while in control group there are macrophage, foam cell and intracellular lipid accumulation with 33,33% percentage. The statistic of Mann-Whitney test result shows (p=0,003). The conclusion that there is significant difference of histopathologic image between thoracic aorta of male white rat (Rattus norvegicus strain wistar) fed with atherogenic diet and fed with standard diet for 12 weeks.Keywords : thoracic aorta, atherosclerosis, atherogenic diet, histopathology.
