Abstract

Abstract; This research aimed to answer question ”Do retell story using story book can improve speech ability of conducted grade 4 in special need school Bangun Bangsa Surabaya”. This research was in special need school Bangun Bangsa Surabaya with subject research were grade 4 students around 4 children. This research consisted of independent variable that was retell story and dependent variable was speech ability.Design that was used in this research was one group pre test post test design. From data analysis above researcher indicated there any improvement speech ability in mentally retarded student through retell story by using descriptive analysis method 0,56 percentage after performed treatment. Retell story could be used as a method to improve speech ability for mentally retarded student grade 4 in SBK Bangun Bangsa Surabaya.

Abstract

Abstract; The purpose of this study is to determine whether these is an increase on speaking skills through the medium of telephone game for mild mentally retarded students class IV in SLB Tunas Harapan I Tembelang Jombang. The approach in this research is qualitative and this is a class action research which is done in two cycles with some steps; plan: to make preparation for action, implementation of the action, observation and evaluation and reflection. Research is conducted in class IV in SLB Tunas Harapan I Tembelang Jombang with 4 mild mentally retarded students. The results showed that media phone game can improve the mild mentally retarded students’ speaking skill that is above 75%. Based on the result of research it can be recommended that the media phone game can be used as a medium for students learning Indonesian because mild mentally retarded students are proven to work to increase understanding of children in conversational skill in daily life

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pentingnya mengembangkan kemampuan motorik halus pada anak autis yang sering mengalami hambatan. Hal ini nampak pada kemampuan anak autis di TK Mentari School Sidoarjo, dalam mengambil, menjimpit, menggenggam, dan menekan benda sehingga masih perlu dikembangkan. Melalui permainan busy book anak autis dirangsang secara aktif untuk mengembangkan kemampuan motorik halusnya dengan berbagai aktivitas dalam permainan busy book seperti memindahkan benda dari wadah satu ke wadah yang lain, mencocokkan bentuk, memasang puzzle, memasang kancing, dan memasang tali sepatu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan permainan busy book terhadap kemampuan motorik halus anak autis di TK Mentari School Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan jenis penelitian pre-eksperimental design, dan rancangan penelitian one group pre test post test design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak autis usia 5-8 tahun di TK Mentari School Sidoarjo berjumlah 7 anak yang kemampuan motorik halusnya masih perlu dikembangkan. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan statistik non parametrik dengan uji peringkat bertanda wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan nilai kemampuan motorik halus anak autis pada saat atau pre test adalah 33,6 menjadi 78,2 pada saat post test. Selain itu, hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan hasil T (jenjang terkecil) = 0 (nilai (-) tidak diperhitungkan karena harga mutlak) lebih kecil sama dengan dari nilai T? (tabel) = 2 dengan nilai kritis 5% (untuk pengujian dua sisi). Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima apabila T lebih kecil sama dengan dari T? (tabel). Hal ini berarti permainan busy book dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak autis. Kata kunci : permainan busy book, motorik halus, autis This research was set background by the importance of developing fine motoric ability to autism children who often experienced hindrance. It appeared to the autism children?s ability in TK Mentari School Sidoarjo in taking, squeezing, holding, and pressing objects so that they still needed to be developed. Through busy book game, the autism children were actively stimulated to develop their fine motoric ability with a number of different activities in busy book game such as moving the objects from one place to another place, matching the shape, fitting puzzle, installing button, and shoelace. This research had purpose to apply busy book game to enhance the fine motoric ability of autism children in TK Mentari School Sidoarjo. This research used quantitative approach, the research kind was pre-experimental design, and the research arrangement was one group pre test ? post test design. The subject of this research was autism children 5 ? 8 years old in TK Mentari School Sidoarjo numbering 7 children whose fine motoric abilities still needed to be developed. The technique of data analysis used statistic non parametric with Wilcoxon matched pair test. The research result indicated that there was enhancement value of fine motoric ability of autism children in pre-test i.e. 33,6 became 78,2 in post-test. Beside that the result also indicated that T (the smallest level = 0 (value (-) was not counted because the price was absolute) was smaller equal to T? value (table) = 2 with critic value 5% (for two sides test). So, it could be concluded that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted if T had been smaller equal to T? (table). It meant busy book game could be applied to enhance the fine motoric ability of autism children. Keywords: Busy book game, fine motoric, autism
