Abstract

Bay leaf (Syzygium polyanthum) is a plant that is widely used as a flavor enhancer. Based on research that has been done, bay leaves contain flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, and saponins that have the ability to act as natural antibacterial agents. Improper use of antibiotics in the treatment of infections can cause resistance, so it is necessary to use antibiotics from natural ingredients that have an optimal working power and are relatively safe. P. acnes is one type of bacteria that can cause acne. The purpose of this research is to find out the effective antibacterial activity of bay leaf ethanol extract cream preparation against P. acnes bacteria. This research is an experimental research with 3 different concentration variations. The research results show that there is antibacterial activity at each concentration with an average diameter of the clear zone of 10.06 mm, 14.4 mm and 20.16 mm, the higher the concentration of EEDS, the higher the inhibitory power against P. acnes bacteria growth. The conclusion of the activity of salam leaves with a concentration of 5%, 10%, and 15% provides the most effective inhibition of bacterial growth with a concentration of 10%, 15% which is included in the strong category. Suggestions are expected to the next researcher to be able to test other bacteria and make a greater concentration than the previous research from EEDS.

Abstract

Aplikasi game Android berperan penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, aplikasi ini memiliki peluang sebagai media hiburan dan juga bisa melatih kita agar fokus dan konsentrasi yang tinggi, apabila dirancang dengan tepat. Game Flappy Plane dikenal karena tingkat kesulitannya yang tinggi. Ini dapat menjadi masalah karena dapat membuat pemain frustrasi dan berpotensi untuk mengurangi tingkat retensi pemain. Adapun metodologi dalam perancangan game ini yaitu Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) dengan enam tahapan yaitu, konsep, perancangan, pengumpulan bahan pembuatan pengujian, distribusi dengan menggunakan perangkat Construct 3. Tujuan utama pembuatan game Flappy Plane untuk menyediakan hiburan bagi pemain. Game sederhana ini bisa menjadi cara yang baik untuk mengisi waktu luang dan memberikan hiburan yang ringan. Berdasarkan alasan tersebut, maka konsep game bercerita tentang pesawat terbang melewati beberapa rintangan untuk mencapai tujuannya, permainan ini juga dapat bermanfaat untuk mengurangi stress melalui hiburan sederhana. Tahap penciptaannya berupa aplikasi Android Flappy Plane dalam bentuk prangkat smartphone berbasis Android.

Abstract

The availability of clean water is a basic need that has not been fully met in Gema Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency. Based on the results of observations, the quality of community well water is still low, especially in Hamlet II, with water that is cloudy, oily, and smelly. This problem is caused by the high content of iron, manganese, and organic materials, as well as the lack of community knowledge about clean water standards and processing techniques. This community service activity aims to improve community knowledge and skills in processing unsuitable water into water that can be used for household needs. The implementation method includes counseling, appropriate technology training, and direct assistance in the field. The results of the activity showed an increase in community understanding of the importance of clean water and the ability to assemble and use simple filters. The community was also active in the training process and monitoring the quality of processed water. This program has succeeded in providing a positive impact on the quality of life of the community and supporting the realization of a clean and healthy lifestyle in the village.
