Abstract

Distribution is an important activity that companies need to pay attention to. Improper planning for distribution activities can potentially waste both cost and time. Determining the shortest distribution route could help companies effectively reduce distribution costs. This research was conducted on a small and medium enterprise (SME) located in Rangkasbitung, Indonesia that sells various types of bread. Distribution activities carried out by Jaya Roti were found to be still conventional, while the distribution carried out to the city of Serang has many locations and complex route combinations. This research utilized the metaheuristic method of Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) with MATLAB software to determine the shortest route, which is included in the Travel Salesman Problem (TSP). The result of the shortest route determination was a total distance of 93,484 Km with an efficiency rate of 26.97% and a resulting cost of IDR 170,795.

Abstract

Assessing the quality of processed fish products stands as a critical factor in ensuring consumer satisfaction, upholding industry standards, and reducing wastage. Traditional methods for quality classification typically involve manual inspection, which is both time-consuming and subjective. In recent years, the utilization of advanced data analysis techniques, such as Self-Organizing Maps (SOMs), has emerged as a promising approach to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of quality assessment in the fish processing industry. SOMs provide a multi-dimensional map capable of representing various quality attributes of processed fish products. This study aims to classify the quality of processed fish products based on four attributes that impact their time to spoilage. The SOMs effectively segmented the dataset into two clusters, with one cluster being more prone to spoilage, while the other demonstrated a longer shelf life.

Abstract

Solar energy is one of several new and unlimited renewable energy sources. In Indonesia, sunlight, despite its abundance, is often underutilized as an energy source. It is designed to optimize battery charging and discharging performance while ensuring operational safety through automatic protection. Battery charging tests show that the solar panels can produce a total current of 3.56 Ah in one day, indicating high efficiency under ideal lighting conditions. During the no-load discharge test, the system maintained a stable output voltage between 5.1 and 5.2 V for input voltages between 4 and 12 V, but the output voltage became zero when the input was less than 4 V, indicating the presence of a cut-off mechanism to protect the battery from under-voltage. Further testing with a load showed the battery voltage dropping to 11.26 V, with the current stabilizing at 0.3 A. The protection system is proven to be effective, becoming active at a temperature of 50 degrees Celsius and a current of 1 A, preventing overheating and overcurrent, which can damage the battery or cause a safety hazard.

Abstract

Kebutuhan energi listrik dimasa yang akan datang membutuhkan suatu perencanaan dan juga prediksi yang baik. Oleh sebab itu dibutuhkan perencanaan secara sistematis dengan berdasarkan data historis. Penelitian ini menggunakan neural network dengan algoritma backpropagation untuk melakukan prakiraan kebutuhan energi listrik Provinsi Banten di masa yang akan datang. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan hasil prakiraan metode jaringan syaraf tiruan (JST) dengan RUPTL PLN 2021-2030. Setelah dilakukan proses perhitungan dan simulasi diperoleh hasil prakiraan kebutuhan energi listrik Provinsi Banten pada tahun 2021–2030 dengan metode JST diperkirakan akan mengalami kenaikan sebesar 30613.41 GWH pada tahun 2030 dengan rata–rata pertumbuhan setiap tahun sebesar 3.24%. JST backpropagation memiliki nilai kesalahan yang lebih rendah 0.39% dibandingkan dengan RUPTL PT PLN sebesar 2.74%. Berdasarkan kriteria mean average percentage error (MAPE) hasil perakiraan keseluruhan JST backpropagation dan RUPTL PT PLN berada pada kategori dapat diterima dan sangat baik.

Abstract

Pelatihan untuk kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang berfokus pada operasi situs web sangat penting untuk memberdayakan remaja serta meningkatkan keterlibatan masyarakat. Kegiatan Pelatihan Operator Website bagi remaja di Kampung Batik Cibuluh merupakan  bagian dari kegiatan  yang terintegrasi dan berkesinambungan  dari Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Dosen Jurusan Teknik Industri dan Dosen Teknik Elektro di Lingkungan Fakultas Teknik Untirta. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menyiapkan operator yang akan mengelola website kampungbatikcibuluh.com. Kampung  Batik Cibuluh berlokasi di Bogor Utara, daerah ini terkenal dengan batik cap dan batik tulis, baik klasik-tradisional maupun kontemporer, yang menonjolkan keragaman ikon Kota Bogor. Keberadaan Kampung Batik Cibuluh mengutamakan pekerjaan padat karya perempuan di mana hampir seluruh proses produksinya dilakukan secara manual dan menerapkan sistem pemberdayaan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalah studi kasus. Pengembangan website Kampung Batik Cibuluh dilakukan sebagai langkah strategis  dalam memperluas jangkauan promosi untuk memperkenalkan produk Kampung Batik Cibuluh. Namun upaya tersebut tidak akan dapat memberikan dampak maksimal ketika tidak terdapat operator yang handal sebagai pengelola. Mencermati kondisi tersebut perlu dilakukan pelatihan operator website kepada remaja kampung batik cibuluh. Dalam kegiatan ini 10 remaja telah dilatih  untuk meningkatkan kemampuan sebagai pengelola website.
