Abstract

Background: Along with the development of processing goods using machine tools and equipment as well as the use of chemicals, one of the impacts is loud or noisy sound, which can be interpreted as unwanted sound or exceeding threshold and has an opportunity to damage hearing so that can be detrimental. Purpose: To analyze the relationship between the noise intensity and worker's characteristics with hearing disorders at the Dental Engineering Laboratory in the Jakarta area in 2020. Method: This research was an analytical study with a descriptive cross-sectional design with a sample of 30 dental technicians who work in a dental engineering laboratory in the Jakarta area. Each area is taken 6 people. Measurement of noise in the laboratory with a sound level meter and measurement of hearing loss with audiometry. Result: Workers whose noise intensity is >85 dBA have hearing loss, workers whose noise intensity is 85 dBA, 4 people who have hearing loss, workers aged >40 years have hearing loss, while among workers aged ≤40 years, there are 7 people experiencing hearing disorders. workers with >5 years of service experience hearing loss, while among workers 5 years of service, none have hearing loss. Conclusion: There is a significant between noise intensity with hearing loss (p-value = 0.011), it isn't significant between age with hearing loss (p-value = 0.0563), and it isn't significant between tenure with hearing loss (p-value = 0.06).

Aim this community service is increase knowledge of elderly and cadres about maintaining dental health and role of dentures. Implementation method with pre-post tests, lectures and delivery of educational videos about maintaining dental health and the role of dentures for dental and oral health at Posyandu Lansia Kemuning 1, Menteng Atas Village, South Jakarta. Participants in this activity consisted of 35 elderly people, 5 cadres and involved 2 students involving the RT and RW head partners. That was an increase in knowledge from the good category of 5.7% to 82.9%, previous sufficient knowledge from 14.3% to 17.1% and 80% of people with less knowledge to no knowledge. The conclusion is a significant increase in knowledge of cadres and public about role of dentures and oral health and interest of elderly in making dentures as tooth replacements. It is hoped that this program can continue through cadres who have been provided with education through leaflets and videos that have been given to elderly and pre-elderly.

Abstract

The background of this research is the low fine motor skills in group B children at Nurul Hikmah Kindergarten. One solution to this problem is to apply coloring activities using the smear technique. This study aims to find out whether coloring activities using the smear technique can improve fine motor skills in group B at Nurul Hikmah Kindergarten. The subjects in this study consisted of 11 children, 8 girls and 3 boys. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This classroom action research was carried out in 2 cycles, in each cycle there were 2 meetings. Data collection techniques used observation and documentation. The results showed that there was an increase in the development of fine motor skills in each child indicator with BB criteria (Not yet Developed) experienced a reduction in children from pre-cycle there was 72.7% in cycle I there was 27% and cycle II there were no more children with criteria Undeveloped. The MB criteria (Beginning to Develop) from 18.2% in the pre-cycle increased in cycle I to 52.75% and in cycle II there were no children with the Starting to Develop criteria. BSH criteria (Developing According to Expectations) increased from 9.1% to 20.72% in cycle I and cycle II increased again to 38.25%. BSB criteria (Very Well Developed) in the initial conditions and cycle I there were no children who developed very well but in cycle II it increased to 61.75%.
