Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses penggunaan influencer sebagai media promosi pariwisata provinsi Sulawesi Selatan pada akun Instagram @visitsulsel.id dan Mengetahui kelebihan-kelebihan serta kekurangan-kekurangan penggunaan influencer sebagai media promosi pariwisata Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan kurang lebih selama 3 bulan yaitu dari bulan Agustus hingga Oktober 2021. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah dsekriptif kualitatif yang sumber data primernya berasal dari hasil wawancara mendalam dengan informan dari pimpinan serta staff dari Badan Promosi Pariwisata Daerah (BPPD) Sulawesi Selatan serta sumber data sekunder yang berasal dari observasi dan studi pustaka, baik melalui buku, jurnal, maupun artikel terkait. Data yang diperoleh kemudian diolah secara deskriptif-kualitatif dengan cara dianalisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan influencer sebagai media promosi pariwisata provinsi Sulawesi Selatan merupakan kegiatan kerjasama kolaborasi antara Badan Promosi Pariwisata Daerah (BPPD) Sulawesi Selatan dan influencer dalam mempromosikan pariwisata Selatan dengan kontrak formal dan semi formal melalui kegiatan fun trip dan diunggah ke akun sosial media masing-masing influencer serta akun instagram @visitsulsel.id. Kelebihan penggunaan influencer pada Akun Instagram @visitsulsel.id sebagai media promosi yaitu informasi bisa langsung tersampaikan ke user, efeknya dapat langsung dirasakan dengan melihat insight pada sosial media; pihak Badan Promosi Pariwisata Daerah (BPPD) Sulawesi Selatan dapat memprediksi bahwa akan ada calon wisatawan yang berkunjung, dapat meningkatkan Engagement Rate instagram @visitsulsel.id; kemudahan mengakses dan memperoleh informasi terkait destinasi-destinasi wisata oleh calon wisatawan. Kekurangannya yaitu belum adanya regulasi yang mengkaji terkait kegiatan digital promotion dan juga pelibatan Influencer untuk kegiatan berpromosi; Tidak tersedianya anggaran yang dapat digunakan untuk membiayai kegiatan promosi dengan influencer di Sulawesi Selatan; Followers dari para influencer tidak dapat diketahui apakah sesuai atau tidak dengan target pasar

Abstract

This study aims to interpret the symbols, meanings, and values of the Sayyang Pattuqduq tradition in the Mandarese community in Majene Regency, West Sulawesi. The study is descriptive qualitative and uses a communication ethnography approach and semiotic analysis method. The primary and secondary research data collection methods include field observations, interviews, and documentation. Literature study and communication ethnography methods are also applied to enrich the variety of research data. In identifying the symbols obtained from a series of interpretations of Sayyang Pattuqduq, Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis is used, which states that there is a triadic relationship in semiotics that is interconnected between symbols in the celebration, the object of the celebration, and the people who interpret the celebration. The results of this study show that the interpretation of Sayyang Pattuqduq in the community in Majene Regency, West Sulawesi, indicates that there are symbols in the Sayyang Pattuqduq celebration, such as cultural communication symbols, spiritual symbols, symbols of togetherness, and symbols of social stratification. In addition, there are values that each have meaning, among others, as a medium in motivating children, as a function of social solidarity, a function of social integration, as a medium for instilling spiritual values, and as a symbol of stratification by certain groups or communities.

Abstract

Effective communication between public institutions and the media fosters transparency, accountability, and trust. However, limited empirical research has explored how press releases' structure, delivery, and credibility affect journalists’ satisfaction, particularly within local police institutions. This study examines the effectiveness of press release presentations by the Public Relations Division of the Bone Police Department in enhancing journalists’ information satisfaction. Using a quantitative approach, the study surveyed 26 officially registered journalists affiliated with the unit. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression. The findings reveal a statistically significant positive correlation between press release effectiveness and journalists’ satisfaction (R² = 0.840, p < 0.05). Key influencing factors include message clarity, source credibility, and digital communication platforms. This study contributes to institutional communication literature by highlighting the strategic role of media relations in shaping the perceived value of public information. It provides practical insights for public sector agencies to refine their communication strategies and build stronger relationships with the media, particularly in regions where accurate and timely information is critical. These findings underscore the importance of professional and credible press releases in improving the flow of public information.
