Abstract

Senjang is a performing art that still exists and is widely used as an extracurricular teaching material in several educational institutions, both formal and non-formal in Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. The existence of Senjang enculturation process has not yet been implemented in accordance with the scientific disciplines possessed by several professional and competent coaches in the field of Senjang. This demanded the students to be able to search for several rehearsal sources of Senjang by themselves using social media such as Youtube as the reference. The phenomenon above is interesting to study and analyze, because it relates to the students’ output produced in order to inherite Senjang art which has become the cultural identity of the community in Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra itself. The objective of this research was to describe and analyze the enculturation of Senjang performance at Putri Sak Ayu Studio, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. This study used a qualitative method. The research data were obtained from observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results showed that the coach at Putri Sak Ayu Studio is a senior Senjang artist who has professional competence in training Senjang art. In addition, the enculturation of Senjang performance at Putri Sak Ayu Studio is taught through three stages: (1) The Warm-up Stage (Breathing and Vocal Exercise), (2) The Core Exercise (includes the learning materials of Senjang verses properly and correctly), and (3) The Assignment Stage

Abstract

The research departs from the phenomenon of gender stereotypes where male teachers teaching dance education in formal schools are considered uncommon and give the impression of being less masculine. The research aims to find out what gender stereotypes are in the dance arts teaching profession in a formal school environment. In order to approach the research problem, Husserl's phenomenological theory was used. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques and sources through relevant literature studies which are analyzed comprehensively and empirically. The research results concluded that to avoid discrimination against gender stereotypes, there needs to be wider awareness and understanding of gender in society. Apart from that, the role of male dance education teachers in the formal education environment has a big role because it can be a motivation for students that dance education does not affect a man's masculinity if it is carried out professionally and appropriately.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berangkat dari fenomena bahwa tari Jepin Selendang menjadi salah satu tarian tradisional yang hanya memiliki sedikit ragam gerakan yaitu, jepin empat-empat, pasang/buka anyam dan raddat. Namun pada kenyataannya di kelas V SDN 34 Tulang Bawang Tengah peserta didik masih kesulitan dalam mempelajari dan menghafalkan tarian tersebut. Mengingat bahwa guru sebenarnya memiliki keterampilan dasar dalam menari. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui strategi pembelajaran tari Jepin Selendang di kelas V SDN 34 Tulang Bawang Tengah. Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif dan bersifat deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh peneliti yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan model Miles Huberman dimana setelah data terkumpul kemudian data di reduksi setelah itu data di sajikan dan yang terakhir penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian mengenai strategi pembelajaran tari Jepin Selendang di kelas V SDN 34 TBT teridentifikasi terdapat lima tahapan yang perlu dilakukan oleh seorang guru yaitu strategi persiapan pembelajaran, strategi pengelolaan pada kelas, strategi penggunaan media, strategi metode, pendekatan dan model pembelajaran, dan strategi evaluasi pembelajaran. Guru telah melakukan semua tahapan tersebut, hanya saja dalam pelaksanaannya kurang maksimal sehingga banyak peserta didik yang kesulitan dalam menari kan tari jepin selendang. Strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah strategi inquiri dengan metode ceramah, diskusi, demonstrasi,dan tanya jawab. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran, Strategi, Tari Jepin Selendang
