Abstract

Primary Dysmenorhea is menstruation pain that its not because of pathology but there is over prostaglandin in menstruation blood so its make hyperactivity uterus. One of therapy non farmakologi that could be their alternatif is acupressure therapy because this therapy have many of advantage, one of them is not have any side effect. The purpose of this experiment is to know the efectivity of acupressure therapy to minimize primary dys-menorhea of girls. This experiment uses quasy experiment by using one group pre-test and post-test. The sample in this experiment is use one group that contain 9 girls whom suffering primary dysmenorhea. The pain intensity of each subject is measured before and after therapy, then the different of them is measured to know the efectivity of acupressure therapy. By using sample-paired t-test, the result of this research is p (0.00) < 0,05 so there is significant differences between before and after therapy and Ho is reject and H1 is accepted. The conclution is acupressure therapy effective to minimize primary dysmenorhea of gilrs.

Abstract

Postpartum self-care is a follow-up for women after childbirth, self-care during childbirth is necessary because a lot of women will have physical and psychological changes experience. Postpartum care is a critical point but often is ignored component of postpartum self care. In developing countries, about 70% did not receive postpartum care, postpartum care most acceptable when there is a risk of maternal death in childbirth, postpartum maternal death is 50% - 71% occur in the postpartum period. The most common cause of maternal death is hemorrhage, second direct cause is an infection, is responsible for most deaths late postpartum. Morbidity in the first week postpartum is usually caused by endrometritis, mastitis, infection of the episiotomy or laceration, urinerius tract infections, and other diseases. Postpartum self-care can be done in a way: Meets Nutrition, early mobilization, meet Urine elimination, maintain personal hygiene, breast treatment, and care of the perineum. Postpartum self-care is not only important to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity but also to strengthen and improve healthy behaviors and to restore public health puerperal women during treatment.
