Abstract

Introduction : This research aims to find out the factors related to the incidence of premature childbirth at Lamaddukkelleng Regional General Hospital wajo regency. Method: Research uses analytical surveys with the Cross sectional Study approach. The population is all maternity mothers in the intranatal room of Lamaddukkelleng Regional General Hospital wajo regency numbering 168 people. Sampling using purposive sampling techniques with solvin formula as many as 63 respondents. Data collection through primary data (chek list sheet) and secondary data. The data was processed using Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) version 16.0 and analyzed univariate and bivariate with chi square statistical tests (X²) and presented in the form of frequency distribution and analysis tables. Results: Bivariate analysis found there was a relationship between maternal age and premature childbirth (?value=0.001<0.05), there was a relationship of parity with premature childbirth (?value=0.002<0.05), and there was a relationship of pregnancy distance with premature childbirth (?value=0.001<0.05). Conclusion: variables have the potential to undergo premature childbirth, so the need for counseling in the community on the importance of maternal age, parity, and distance of pregnancy to the risk of premature childbirth

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is highly recommended to be given to newborns until the age of six months and without breastfeeding assistance. The smooth release of breast milk in nursing mothers is a very important requirement to meet infant nutrition, breast milk is the best nutrition for babies to prevent infection and several other diseases. The decrease in milk production and expenditure in the first days of birth can be caused by a lack of stimulation of the hormones prolactin and oxytocin which play a very important role in the production and secretion of breast milk. Objective: This study was to determine the importance of oxytocin massage in postpartum mothers. is a literature review study and the search for sources used, namely this article uses the literature study method from scientific journals with keyword guidance. Selected scientific journals number 6 journals represent the influence of oxytocin on breast milk production and provide varied information and literature used from 2017-2021. Results: Oxytocin massage is an alternative to overcome the unevenness of breast milk production, oxytocin massage is an attempt to trigger Prolactin and oxytocin hormones after delivery. Conclusion: Based on the analysis that has been done, oxytocin massage is effective for breast milk production, because there is an effect of oxytocin massage on breast milk production, and there is a significant difference between breast milk production before and before treatment

Abstract

Background : Pelvic Rocking with Birthing Ball is to increase the size of the pelvic cavity by shaking the pelvis with the ball and slowly swinging the hips back and forth, right, left, and circular. Pelvic rocking can help the mother in an upright position, staying upright during labor will allow the uterus to work as efficiently as possible by making the pelvic area wider and open. Design: The study was conducted in November 2021 in the Working Area of ??the Bissappu Health Center. This type of research is the Quasy Experiment method with the Two Group Posttest approach. The sample in this study were 30 mothers in labor, then divided into 15 treatment groups and 15 control groups using purposive sampling technique. Results: The results showed that of the 30 people who were used as samples, 15 people (50.0%) did pelvic rocking and 15 people (50.0%) did not do pelvic rocking and those who experienced continuation of the first stage of labor active fast as many as 17 people (56.7%) and slow as many as 13 people (43.3%). Conclusion: There is an effectiveness of pelvic rocking on the continuity of the first active phase of labor in primigravidas with a value of ? = 0.000. Suggestion: It is hoped that the midwife on duty will increase her attention in providing information about pelvic rocking
