The rapid development of Bali tourism sector, especially in the tourist area of Lake Batur, lead to many changes in community cultural patterns. Several issues, such as the transition of space functions and the development of tourism designations, have not considered the environmental, economic, social and cultural conditions in the local area. Several regional policies were established in order to maintain the local wisdom of the Hindu-Balinese community and become the basis for organizing tourism in Bali. The availability of open space in a tourist attraction in an destination can be a supporting factor for tourists and local communities. This was a qualitative descriptive study. This method aims to obtain an in-depth description regarding the forms of local wisdom of the Hindu-Balinese community which contain the elements of balance which further be adjusted into spatial planning. A sustainable tourist park may be a site for the activities and interaction among local community, tourists, and also be able to become a forum for education regarding Balinese culture and the natural environment, both of which need to be preserved for the sustainability of Lake Batur tourist area which has a great potential in the development of tourism sector.

Abstract

Tasikmalaya Regency is one of the areas in West Java Province which has a type of cultural tourism as its attraction. The type of potential cultural tourism in this regency is located in the Traditional Dragon Village Area, precisely in Neglasari Village, Salawu District. Kampung Naga is an area where the people still hold the beliefs or customs of their ancestors. The large number of tourists visiting Kampung Naga will have a positive or negative impact on this tradition. The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of tourism development on the life of the indigenous people of Kampung Naga, especially in implementing its traditions. The presence of tourists can affect the traditional life and culture of the local community, therefore it is necessary to have research on changes in the implementation of traditions (customs and customs) after the presence of tourists in the Kampung Naga area. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative data analysis using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. Based on this analysis, there are several changes in the implementation of the tradition as an impact felt by the local community after the development of tourism. The results of this identification are expected to be considered in tourism planning and development related to tourism policies and the ecosystem therein. Because by implementing a good and appropriate policy, the potential of the existing tourism area can run optimally by minimizing the negative impact on humans.

Abstract

The Gorontalo Eco-Wise Initiatives (LOCOWISE) program in Dunu Village, North Gorontalo Regency, aims to preserve coastal ecosystems through reforestation and community empowerment. Reforestation activities are carried out along coastal areas, hilly regions, and residential zones by planting mangroves, fruit trees, and shade trees, which function to prevent coastal erosion, absorb carbon dioxide, and improve air quality. Additionally, the program provides education to the community on planting techniques, waste management, and composting, generating economic benefits while raising environmental awareness. Supporting facilities, such as thematic gardens, educational boards, and sustainable training, have been added to enhance aesthetics and promote tourism. By engaging the community as "local heroes," this program fosters a collective sense of environmental responsibility and ensures the sustainability of reforestation efforts. This initiative not only has a positive ecological impact but also contributes to the economic and social empowerment of the local community.
