Abstract

Phrases are part of the syntax which is formed from two or more words and their position in the clause is not more than one syntactic functionPhrases do not consist of subject-predicate structures, or predicate-object structures, but phrases consist of only subject, predicate, or object only. The problems described in this study are (1) What are the types of phrases found on the website of the Riau Islamic University? (2) What is the structure of the phrases on the website of the Riau Islamic University? The objectives of this study are. To analyze and describe the types of phrases and phrases structures found on the Islamic University Website. The theory that the writer uses to analyze this research is the theory put forward by Chaer (2009), Sulistyowati (2012), Miftahul and Sakura (2014). The method used is content analysis method. This type of research is library research (Library Research). The approach used is a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used were documentation techniques and hermeneutic techniques. The data analysis techniques used were classification and interpretation. Based on the research carried out, it can be concluded that 1) the types of phrases found on the website of the Riau Islamic University are nominal phrases, verbal phrases, adjective phrases, prepositional phrases. So, the total nominal, verbal, adjective, and prepositional phrases found on the website of the Riau Islamic University are as many as 60 phrases. 2) the structure of the phrases found on the website of the Riau Islamic University, namely nominal phrases with as many noun + noun (N + N) structures and noun + adjective (N + A), verbal phrases with a verbal + noun (V + N) structure adjective (V + A), verbal + preposition (V + Prep), adverb + verbal (Adv + V) and verbal + verbal (V + V), adjective phrases with the structure of adjectivea + adverb (A + Adv), adjective + noun (A + N) and adverb + adjective (Adv + A), as well as prepositional phrases that have a prepositional + noun structure (Prep + N), prepositions + verbs (Prep + V) and prepositions + adjectives (Prep + A).

Abstract

Phrases are grammatical units consisting of two or more words that occupy a sentence function. The problems examined in this study are (1) What are the eccentric phrases contained in Berita RiauPos.co? (2) What are the endocentric phrases contained in Berita RiauPos.co? (3) What is the coordinating phrase contained in Berita RiauPos.co? (4) What are the positive phrases contained in Berita RiauPos.co? The purpose of this study is to describe, analyze, conclude and interpret exocentric, endocentric, coordinative and appositive phrases contained in Berita RiauPos.co. The theory used to analyze the problem of this research is the theory of Chaer (2012). The research method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This type of research includes library research (library research). The results and conclusions of this study are (1) The eccentric phrases found in RiauPos.co include the ecocentric directive phrases in the city of Pekanbaru, because the two elements of these phrases do not have the same distribution as their components. Both with prepositions and with their central elements. The proposed phrases include non-directive ecocentric phrases, because non-directive exocentric phrases are articulus, while the central elements are words or groups of words that are categorized as verbs. (2) The endocentric phrases found in RiauPos.co include new students because one of the elements can replace their general position. (3) Coordinating phrases found in RiauPos.co include students and students of these phrases that have equivalence or declare something equivalent. (4) The positive phrases found on RiauPos.co include the Rector of Lancang Kuning University (Unilak), Dr. Junaidi, which refer to each other. All the sentences contained in Berita RiauPos.co, up to 106 sentence data were obtained.

Abstract

Indonesian language textbooks issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture are certainly better than those written individually. However, it turns out that there are still and the authours found language errors in thhem, especially at the syntactic level. The prolems in this researchhh are (1) how are the language erros in the syntactic level of the phrase field contained in the Inonesian language texsbook for class VIIISMP/MTs curriculum 2013 published by the Ministry of Education and Culture? class VIIISMP/MTs curriculum 2013 published by the Ministry of Education and Culture?. The purpose of this study is to describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude language errors at the syntactic level in the field of phrases and sentences contained in the Indonesian language textbooks for VIIISMP/MTs curriculum 2013 published by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The theory used in this research is the theory proposed by Setyawati (2010). The method used is content analysis method. The approach in this research is qualitative research. The results of this study are: (1) language errors at the syntactic level in the phrase field into 5 data found, among others: the influence of regional languages, the use of excessive or redundant elements, the use of excessive or redundant elements, the use of inappropriate prepositions. (2) language errors at he syntactic level in the verse field were found, including: illogical sentences, and the use of foreign terms.
