Abstract

This research aims to synthesize and characterize aluminum formate-metal organic framework (ALF-MOF) from beverage can waste using solvothermal method. The solvothermal method was chosen due to its ability to produce materials with controlled structures and superior properties. This research also uses a Central Composite Design (CCD) experimental design to optimize the synthesis conditions. The ALF-MOF synthesis process was carried out by mixing Al(OH)3 powder obtained from the extraction of aluminum in beverage can waste and HCOOH in DMF. The mixture was stirred and heated in an autoclave reactor at Al/HCOOH mole ratios (1:3, 1:5, and 1:7) and reaction times (1, 2, and 3 hours). Furthermore, the products were characterized using FTIR, XRD, SEM, and BET. Based on the results, it is known that the optimum synthesis conditions were achieved at the Al/HCOOH mole ratio and reaction time of 1:3.729 and 2.874 hours, respectively, with an ALF-MOF yield value of 87.71%. Characterization results showed the presence of COO groups and Al-O-Al groups. The ALF-MOF product also has an average particle diameter of 23.57 nm with a %crystallinity of 51.30% and a surface area of 128.507 m2/gram.

Abstract

Introduction: Caffeine is made by extraction from roasted and ground coffee by dichloromethane after being heated in deionized water mixed with magnesium oxide. The extract was purified, dried and bottled in a bottle of dark glass. A stratified random selection was applied to select a number of vials for the study of homogeneity and stability, which revealed that the prepared reference material was homogeneous and fairly stable.  Objective: This study aims to determine the level of caffeine levels in ground coffee.  The quantification of the % purity of caffeine was performed using a calibrated UV/visible UV/visible spectrophotometer and high-performance liquid chromatography calibrated by the diode-array detection method. Method: This study uses literature review, from several articles published in literature through PubMed, Science Direct,  Researchgate, publons and Google Scholar with articles published from 2012 to 2022.  Result and Discussion: The results obtained from both methods combined to drive the certified value and uncertainty regarding the certified value of the purity of the reference material were found to be 99.86% and the associated uncertainty was ±0.65%, which makes the candidate reference material a very useful calibran in the chemical analysis of food and medicine.  Conclusion: It can be concluded that the caffeine levels contained in robusta and arabica coffee beans with varying soaking duration of 3 days, 5 days, and 7 days there are differences in caffeine levels

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Constitutional Court's considerations in determining the legal standing of the petitioners in Constitutional Court Decision Number 133/PUU-XXIII/2025. Legal standing is a key requirement that determines whether a petition for judicial review of a law can be accepted by the Constitutional Court. This study uses a normative juridical method with a legislative and case-based approach to the decision. The results of the study show that the Court found that the petitioners failed to convince the Court that there was actual or potential damage to their constitutional rights as a result of the implementation of the article being challenged. Therefore, the petition was deemed inadmissible due to the incompleteness of the legal standing requirement as stipulated in Article 51 paragraph (1) of Law Number 24 of 2003. This decision emphasizes the importance of proving the causal relationship between constitutional harm and the norm being challenged in order to maintain the integrity of constitutional justice in Indonesia
