Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the relations between self concept, parents attention, affiliation to nonaggressivegroup, school climate, and aggressivity of high school students in Jakarta. These five variables areseen from the perspective of educational technology. The research was conducted at SMU Darul Maarif, SMUCendrawasih, and SMU Al Azhar during April-May-June 2011/2012 academic year), with 150 respondents (clusterrandom sampling). The result of the study indicated that: Self concept, parents attention, affiliation to nonaggressivegroup, school climate, one by one and together influenced aggressivity. Group affiliation contribute aggressivityhigher than the other variables. Even school climate reduced aggressivity less then another variables,high influenced on improving affiliation to nonaggressive group. It is summarized that by: encouraging childrenaffiliate to nonaggressive group, improving self concept, raising parents attention, and maintaining good schoolclimate, aggressivity can be reduced. It could be concluded that appropriate interactions will enhanced good behavior.This research, useing linier thinking, unsucceed to search the main cause of aggressivity, so in discussion,cybernetics method was applicated to reach supra-system and infra-system factors to discribe the cause of youthaggressivity in Jakarta/Indonesia.

Abstract

Para pemuka komunikasi a.l.Katherine Miller (Texas AM University), Stephen W.Littlejohn (Albuquerque, New Meexico), dan E.M.Griffin (Wheaton College) dalam buku aktual mereka (edisi 2002 dan 2003) dengan topik Communication Teory, dalam versi penyajian yang agak berbeda, menyatakan bahwa contextual themes of communication theories hanyalah interpersonal relationships, group decision making, organizational networks, dan media (mass communication). Saya beranggapan bahwa one of the important theme of contextual communication in connection with modern society is missing. Interactive theme sebagai kajian tema konstektual komunikasi tidak dibahas. Tema interaktif ni seyogyanya tidak hanya dibahas sebagai sebuah kajian khusus namun lebih jauh juga dimanfaatkan dalam pengajaran komunikasi (E-Learning) dalam suatu lembaga cyber university atau cyber university atau cyber fakulty. Selanjutnya komunikasi masih perlu mendaoat kontribusi dari para ahli dan profesional disiplin lain.

Abstract

Bagaimana cara mengukur keberhasilan pencapaian kompetensi dalam pendidikan komunikasi? Sebuah pertanyaan besar, karena penentuan kompetensi lazimnya (tradisional) masih abstrak, ditambah lagi obyek dan lingkup studi komunikasi pun sangat maya. Bagaimana merealisasikansistem kompetensi pendidikan sebagai penyempurnaan sistem ke (sedang penyelenggaraan sistem ks sendiri masih compang-camping)?
