Abstract

Kata kunci: audiovisual, ibu rumah tangga, leaflet, rumah bebas asap rokokHealth Promotion Through Audiovisual and Leaflet for Housewives to Create Smoke Free HomeABSTRACTMany housewives (IRT) consider the smoking behavior of their family members to be normal due to low knowledge about the dangers of smoking.  Previous studies have stated that audiovisuals and leaflets can significantly increase the knowledge, attitudes, and actions of IRT in controlling cigarettes.  Objective: To investigate the effect of health promotion through audiovisual and leaflet for housewives’s knowledge, attitude and behaviour to create smoke free home. Methods: Quasi experimental with non-equivalent pretest-posttest design were conducted with 58 housewives that consisted of 27 housewives as  intervention group treated with health promotion  through audiovisual and leaflet and 31 housewives as control group treated with health promotion through leaflet. Data was collected in questionnaire from January-March 2017. Data was analyzed using Wilcoxon, paired t-test dan Mann-Whitney. Results: Improved knowledge and  behaviour occured in both groups, whereas improved attitude only occurred in intervention group (p<0.05).  There was no significantly difference in knowledge and attitude of intervention and control group (p>0.05). There  was statistically significant diferrence  (p=0.043) in the average mean on behaviour  in pretest-posttest I between intervention group and control group, but in pretest-posttest II, posttest I-posttest II there was no statistically difference in the average mean behaviour between both group (p>0.05). Discussion: there was a significant increase in knowledge in the intervention group who were given audiovisual media and leaflets because information from audiovisuals could be understood by  all level of educations.  The comparison group showed an increase knowledge with health promotion using leaflets because it was also accompanied by an oral explanation by the researcher.  There was no significant difference in attitude improvement between the intervention and comparison groupConclusion: Health promotion through audiovisual and leaflet can improve housewives’s knowledge, attitude and behaviour to create smoke free home. Abstract

Intradialytic cycling is a form of aerobic exercise performed during hemodialysis sessions. Several studies have investigated its impact on both physical and psychological functional status, utilizing various parameters such as frequency, duration, exercise intensity, and with differing outcomes. The aim of this systematic review is to examine the effects of intradialytic cycling on physical and psychological functional status in patients undergoing hemodialysis. This systematic review was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA guidelines. Literature was sourced from databases including Scopus, ProQuest, SAGE Journals, SpringerLink, Taylor & Francis, and Cochrane, using keywords based on the PICO framework and combined with Boolean operators “AND” and “OR.” Inclusion criteria for the articles were: publication between 2010 and 2025, studies involving hemodialysis patients aged ≥18 years, research designs including randomized controlled trials (RCTs), quasi-experimental studies, and cohort studies, and publications in English. A total of 10 articles were included in the analysis. Intradialytic cycling demonstrated enhancing physical function and reducing depressive symptoms in hemodialysis patients. This non-pharmacological intervention proved to be effective both as a standalone therapy and in combination with other modalities, such as resistance training, music therapy, and cognitive approaches. However, further research is warranted to develop and adapt intradialytic cycling protocols that align with clinical practice settings in Indonesia
