Abstract

Storage of goods in public areas, such as in the Al Furqon Mosque, is often a problem due to the lack of adequate security systems due to the absence of guards. This raises the risk of losing goods, so an effective and efficient solution is needed. This study aims to design and implement an ESP 8266-based smart locker box that can be controlled via a smartphone to improve security and comfort in storing goods. The research method used is the waterfall system development model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, code, testing, and maintenance. This system is designed using the ESP 8266 module as the main controller connected to a smartphone application via a Wi-Fi connection. The main features include automatic locking and opening of the locker and notification of locker status via the application. The results of the study show that the smart locker box functions well, with a fast and accurate control response via a smartphone. This system has succeeded in improving the security of goods in storage areas, especially in public places such as mosques, by reducing the risk of losing goods. The impact of this research is the creation of an innovative technological solution to overcome security problems in storage areas without guards, as well as increasing the sense of security and comfort for users

Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan untuk menjawab permasalahan rendahnya produktivitas dan manajemen waktu pada Kelompok Tani Lestari di Desa Patakbanteng, Kecamatan Kejajar, Kabupaten Wonosobo. Selama ini, anggota kelompok hanya berfokus pada kegiatan tanam dan panen, sementara masa tunggu 3–4 bulan sebelum panen belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas manajemen organisasi melalui pembentukan jadwal produktif dan sistem tugas harian kelompok agar waktu luang dapat digunakan secara lebih terstruktur dan bermanfaat. Mitra sasaran kegiatan adalah Kelompok Tani Lestari dengan jumlah peserta aktif sebanyak 25 orang. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan secara partisipatif dan edukatif melalui pelatihan, pendampingan teknis, dan diskusi kelompok. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan menggunakan pre-test, post-test, dan wawancara untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan dan efektivitas penerapan sistem. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam menyusun jadwal kerja produktif, pembagian tugas yang lebih terorganisir, serta meningkatnya kesadaran akan pentingnya efisiensi waktu dan manajemen organisasi. Hasil ini diketahui dari peningkatan rata-rata pre-test sebesar 46,00 menjadi 75,33 pada post-test. Peserta mampu mengimplementasikan inovasi sederhana berupa pemanfaatan energi panas buangan untuk kegiatan produktif. Kata kunci: manajemen organisasi; jadwal produktif; pemberdayaan petani; kelompok tani; pelatihan partisipatif. Abstract This community service activity was carried out to address the problems of low productivity and time management in the Lestari Farmers Group in Patakbanteng Village, Kejajar District, Wonosobo Regency. Previously, group members had focused solely on planting and harvesting activities, while the 3–4 month waiting period before harvest had not been optimally utilized. This activity aimed to improve organizational management capacity by establishing a productive schedule and a daily group task system so that free time could be used in a more structured and beneficial manner. The target partner for the activity was the Lestari Farmers Group, with 25 active participants. The implementation method was participatory and educational through training, technical assistance, and group discussions. Evaluation of the activity was conducted using pre-tests, post-tests, and interviews to measure increased knowledge and the effectiveness of the system's implementation. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' ability to create productive work schedules, a more organized division of tasks, and an increased awareness of the importance of time efficiency and organizational management. This result is known from the increase in the pre-test average of 46.00 to 75.33 in the post-test. Participants were able to implement simple innovations such as utilizing waste heat energy for productive activities. Keywords: organizational management; productive schedule; farmer empowerment; farmer groups; participatory training.

Abstract

Abstrak Permasalahan rendahnya pemanfaatan energi panas buangan pada kegiatan pertanian masih menjadi kendala bagi petani di Desa Patakbanteng, Kecamatan Kejajar, Kabupaten Wonosobo. Hal ini berdampak pada keterbatasan akses energi alternatif di tingkat rumah tangga. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan solusi melalui pelatihan dan penerapan teknologi Thermoelectric Generator (TEG) pada kelompok tani. Mitra sasaran adalah Kelompok Tani Lestari dengan jumlah peserta aktif sebanyak 25 orang. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan pembuatan dan penerapan TEG, praktik langsung, serta pendampingan berkelanjutan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test, post-test, dan wawancara untuk menilai peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan, serta manfaat yang dirasakan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Nilai rata-rata pre-test 62,06 meningkat menjadi 79,84 pada rata-rata post-test. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan sebesar 17,78 poin. Peserta menyatakan bahwa teknologi ini mudah diterapkan, membantu mengurangi pemborosan energi, serta memiliki potensi replikasi pada skala rumah tangga lain. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap peningkatan efisiensi energi di sektor pertanian dan membuka peluang pengembangan teknologi sederhana berbasis sumber daya lokal. Kata kunci: pengabdian; energi alternatif; thermoelectric generator; efisiensi energi; kelompok tani. Abstract The problem of low utilization of waste heat energy in agricultural activities remains an obstacle for farmers in Patakbanteng Village, Kejajar District, Wonosobo Regency. This has an impact on limited access to alternative energy at the household level. This community service activity aims to provide solutions through training and application of Thermoelectric Generator (TEG) technology to farmer groups. The target partner is the Lestari Farmers Group with 25 active participants. The methods used include socialization, training in the manufacture and application of TEG, direct practice, and ongoing mentoring. Evaluation was carried out through pre-tests, post-tests, and interviews to assess the increase in knowledge, skills, and perceived benefits. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding after the training. The average pre-test score of 62.06 increased to 79.84 on the post-test, representing a 17.78 point increase. Participants stated that this technology is easy to apply, helps reduce energy waste, and has the potential for replication at other household scales. Thus, this activity has succeeded in making a real contribution to increasing energy efficiency in the agricultural sector and opening up opportunities for the development of simple technologies based on local resources. Keywords: devotion; alternative energy; thermoelectric generator; energy efficiency; farmer groups.
