Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between agility and basketball dribbling ability. The sample in this study were only male students totalling 20 people.  This research method belongs to the type of quantitative research using correlational analysis techniques.     Data collection techniques using the Illinois Agility Run Test agility test instrument and dribbling ability with a basketball dribbling ability test. The results of the study obtained tcount is greater than ttable or , so it can be stated that the research hypothesis Ha is accepted and the hypothesis H0 is rejected.  It can be seen from the calculation of the results that show the correlation value (r) with the provisions of the value of r = 0.657, the correlation coefficient is classified as strong.  The results of the diterminan coefficient value show that the independent variable agility contributes to the dribbling ability of basketball by 44.16% and the remaining 55.84% is determined by other variables.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of drill method training on pivot skills in extracurricular basketball activities of students at SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang. This study used a pre-experimental design with the "One Group Pretest-Posttest Design" design, which is a design that uses pretest and posttest so that the difference in results due to the treatment given can be known with certainty. The population used in this study were students who took part in extracurricular basketball at SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang as many as 27 people and the research sample used Simple Random Sampling, which is a sampling technique that is carried out randomly from members of the population without considering the existing strata, namely 27 people. The statistical analysis used in this study was the t-test to test the hypothesis that there was an effect of drill method training on pivot skills in extracurricular basketball activities of students at SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang. The results of the calculation analysis showed a significant effect on the pivot results. The calculation results state that the calculation of the t-value calculation is -15.060 > t-table 1.708 with a level of α = 0.05, meaning that there is a significant influence between X (drill training) and Y (increasing pivot skills) with a percentage of 31%. Based on the hypothesis testing that has been carried out, it states that there is a significant influence in drill method training on pivot skills in the basketball extracurricular of students at SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve basic futsal dribbling techniques using a dribbling drill variation training method for students at SDN 32 Rejang Lebong District. The study involved 20 subjects. The method used in this study was classroom action research. The research procedure consisted of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. From the first cycle, after calculations were made, the results showed an improvement in the “very good” category with 5 participants (25%), the “good” category with 7 participants (35%), the ‘average’ category with 6 participants (30%), and 2 participants in the “poor” category. The number of participants who achieved mastery in the first cycle was 12 participants, representing 60%. After implementing the intervention through drill-based learning using a ball and zig-zag movements without a ball, the second cycle yielded results showing an improvement, with 12 participants in the “very good” category, 5 participants in the ‘good’ category, and 3 participants in the “average” category. The number of participants who achieved proficiency in the second cycle was 17 participants in the very good category, representing 85% of the students at SDN 32 Rejang Lebong District. It can be concluded that there is an improvement in dribbling skills through the use of learning interventions among students at SDN 32 Rejang Lebong District.
