This research was completed using a qualitative descriptive method with the help of the social construction theory of Peter L. Berger and Luckman. Sources of data used are primary and secondary data. Bringing up the title "Asa in the strains of Gula Gending: A Study of the Views of the People of Kembang Kerang Daya Village on the Ability of Gula Gending Sellers to Send Children to Higher Education", describing the limitations of parents in terms of education, skills, and access to employment, has actually become a motivator for parents to change the future for the better. Children are believed to be an investment in the future, both in the hereafter and in the world, for gula gending sellers, so educating them to have a strong motivation in education is part of worship and struggle. Abstract

The development of PSN (National Strategic Project) is a program that was first initiated by the government in 2016. The existence of this program at the beginning was a hope in the context of improving the welfare and empowerment of communities around the development project. One of the areas included in the national strategic project is the Mandalika special economic zone. One of the reasons Mandalika has become a national strategic project is because of the rich local culture it has, the cultural richness that exists in the communities around Mandalika is very diverse, so that local culture in the community cannot be ignored in terms of tourism development. In conducting this research, researchers used library research methods. The data analysis techniques in this research are through reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results showed that local culture in society can also be a part of supporting community empowerment in tourism development, by involving these cultural values in helping the community to support existing development. In Giddens' view in his structuration theory, in carrying out development, it certainly does not only involve or pay attention to one aspect, but the connectivity of structure and agency must be integrated with each other in how to achieve the level of community welfare that is expected, especially in providing empowerment to the community.

Abstract

The issue of stunting remains a significant health concern, particularly in East Lombok, which has one of the highest stunting rates in West Nusa Tenggara. This study explores the role of Family Development Session (FDS) activities in preventing and addressing stunting in Lenek Pesiraman Village. FDS, an integral part of the Family Hope Program (PKH), provides structured learning sessions to beneficiary families (KPM) to increase their knowledge and foster behavioral changes related to health, education, and nutrition management. Using Giddens' structuration theory as an analytical tool, this research investigates the interaction between agents (beneficiary families and FDS facilitators) and structures (the PKH program) in implementing FDS activities. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation from 2019 to 2024. The findings indicate that FDS activities have significantly influenced behavioral changes in the community, particularly in improving nutrition awareness, pregnancy care, and environmental health. Additionally, FDS has facilitated a deeper understanding of stunting prevention among beneficiaries and contributed to reducing stunting rates in Lenek Pesiraman Village. The study highlights the importance of collaboration between facilitators and beneficiaries in achieving the program’s objectives and provides insights into enhancing the implementation of FDS activities for better community health outcomes
