Abstract

The ability to read and write is better known as literacy at this time. Reading skills are very important because every information and knowledge is obtained. This study aims to describe the reading literacy skills of class I students at SDN Panca Tunggal in learning activities in class with a subject of 24 students. The type of research used is a mix method that combines qualitative and quantitative methods. Data collection techniques were carried out by observing, interviewing, recording direct tests and documentation. The data analysis technique used was qualitative analysis procedures, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study concluded that the reading literacy of class I students has shown good results, although there are still students who spell in reading the writings given by the educator. From the indicators given to students, there are some students who are still not able to distinguish the letters of the alphabet given, read syllables, read words and read simple sentences.

This study aims to describe the written literacy ability of class I students at SDN Panca Tunggal in learning activities in class with a subject of 24 students.
