Abstract

Community satisfaction as service recipients is a comparison between the services received and the expected services. Service quality is very important because with good service, patient satisfaction will also have a positive impact on the elderly posyandu. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between the quality of nursing services and the satisfaction of elderly patients at the Posyandu for the Elderly in Bumi Pratama Mandira Village. Method: the research used in this research is an explanatory research study. The population in this study was all elderly people at the Posyandu for the Elderly in Bumi Pratama Mandira Village, totaling 50 respondents. The sampling technique used total sampling with a sample of 50 respondents. Data collection uses a questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi square test. The results of the univariate analysis showed that out of 50 respondents, 31 respondents (62%) were satisfied and 19 respondents were less satisfied (38%), 41 respondents (82%) had good service quality and 9 respondents had poor service quality. (18%). The results of the chi square statistical test showed that there was a relationship between the quality of nursing services and the satisfaction of elderly patients at the Posyandu for the Elderly in Bumi Pratama Mandira Village (p value = 0.018 < ? 0.05). Suggestion: it is hoped that nurses and officers at the Bumi Pratama Mandira Village Elderly Posyandu will try to improve the services provided by providing support or motivation to work well in order to meet patient expectations so as to increase the satisfaction of elderly people who visit the posyandu.

Abstract

Traffic accidents result in damage to several organs due to trauma. The organ that experiences damage most quickly is the brain. Accident victims' condition can get worse or lead to death if not treated quickly, especially in cases of cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest. It is very important for a nurse to learn BHD, because BHD is very necessary in emergency measures to clear the airway, assist breathing and maintain blood circulation so that it can save a person's life. The aim of the research is to analyze factors related to non-medical employees' knowledge about Basic Life Support (BHD) at the South Sumatra Province Health Office in 2024. The type of literature review used in this research is a scoping review. The keywords used in this research are factors, knowledge, non-medical employees, basic life support (BHD). It is hoped that the suggestions will provide information to the public regarding the importance of carrying out BHD. So, the public will have knowledge and insight about the factors related to Basic Life Support (BHD).

Abstract

Hypertension is known as The Silent Killer because it often occurs without symptoms, leading many individuals to be unaware of their condition until complications arise. Education using booklet media can improve the elderly's adherence to self-care and encourage healthy lifestyle changes to prevent such complications.This study aimed to determine the effect of booklet-based hypertension management education on the knowledge of elderly patients. Using a one-group pre-test and post-test design, the study involved 30 respondents. Results showed an increase in average knowledge scores from 12.30 to 13.32, with a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05), indicating a significant effect of booklet education on improving elderly knowledge. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for health workers in providing more effective education on hypertension management to elderly patients.

Abstract

The high percentage of cases of infectious diseases caused by personal hygiene results in health problems in children. The role of school or community nurses is as providers of care in providing superior nursing care, and nurses can become educators in providing explanations or health education to students. The aim of the research is to determine the effect of health education through video (Audio Visual ) methods on personal hygiene knowledge and attitudes in school-age children. The research method uses Pre Experimental designs with a One Group Pretest Posttest approach. The population in this study were all 6th grade students at MI Darul Hikmah Muara Gula Lama with a sample size of 30 respondents. The research results showed that there was an influence of health education through the video (Audio Visual ) method on personal hygiene knowledge in school age children (?=0.000), with an average difference in score of 3.17. There is an influence of health education through video (audio-visual) methods on personal hygiene attitudes in school-age children (?=0.000), with an average difference in score of 5.04. The suggestion is that students are expected to be more active and thorough in seeking information from various existing media, so that students have high insight and understanding about personal hygiene in order to avoid the risks of disease.

Abstract

Osteoarthritis is one of the most common types of arthritis, this degenerative joint condition causes pain, swelling and stiffness, affecting a person's ability to move freely. Osteoarthritis attacks all joints, including the surrounding tissue and most often occurs in the knees, hips, spine and hands. The aim of this study was to determine the intensity of osteoarthritis pain in the elderly before and after giving a compress made of boiled red ginger water. This research uses a One Group Pre-Test and Post-Test Design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling so that the number of respondents was 52 respondents. Analysis used the Wilcoxon test with the results of the analysis showing that there was a significant influence or difference in the increase in the average value of the osteoarthritis pain scale in the elderly before the red ginger boiled water compress was applied and after the red ginger boiled water compress was applied (p-value = 0.000). It is hoped that community health centers can implement red ginger boiled water compresses which can reduce osteoarthritis pain in the elderly as a complementary therapy.
