Abstract

The development of tourism villages in Indonesia is one of the important strategies in improving the regional economy and preserving local culture. Batu Lintang Village in Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan, is one example of a village that has successfully developed into a leading tourist destination. This success was marked by winning first place in the Tourism Village Attractiveness category at the 2024 Anugerah Desa Wisata Indonesia (ADWI) event, after competing with more than 6,000 other tourism villages throughout Indonesia. As a tourist village, Batu Lintang Village offers a unique attraction, namely a combination of natural and cultural tourism. The Dayak Iban people who inhabit this village are known for their commitment to protecting the environment and maintaining ancestral traditions, such as the pristine betang houses in Sungai Utik Hamlet. In addition, the natural beauty around the village, including the customary forest and the presence of hornbills, makes this village potential for ecotourism development. The success of tourism village development is inseparable from various supporting factors, such as local community involvement, government support, and the right strategy in managing natural and cultural resources. Therefore, this research was conducted to understand more deeply how Batu Lintang Village achieved its success as a tourist village.

Abstract

Social conflict in Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan, arises from the region’s ethnic, religious, and socio-economic diversity, as well as its complex history of disputes. Notable incidents, includingreligious tensions and land boundary conflicts, underscore the urgency of a systematic approach to conflictresolution. This study aims to analyze the implementation of collaborative governance in addressing socialconflict in Sintang, using three indicators proposed by Ansell and Gash: initial conditions, thecollaborative process, and facilitative leadership. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, involvingfield studies, interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that synergy among localgovernment— through the National Unity and Political Agency (Kesbangpol), the Community EarlyWarning Forum (FKDM), religious and traditional leaders, and other community stakeholders— plays avital role in facilitating early conflict detection, building mutual trust, and fostering inclusive dialogue.Challenges such as sectoral egos, limited resources, and ineffective communication can be mitigatedthrough active community engagement, the use of information technology, and the enhancement of localleadership capacities. Consequently, collaborative governance proves to be an effective approach forpromoting social stability and harmony in Sintang Regency

Abstract

This research examines how the implementation of technology in the Integrated Dynamic Archiving Information System (SRIKANDI) at the Regional Secretariat of Sekadau Regency has changed the way archives are managed. The purpose of this study is to evaluate how well SRIKANDI functions in improving transparency and efficiency in archive management, speeding up document searches, and digitizing archives to support more efficient government administration. This research was conducted thru a descriptive qualitative field study with interviews with relevant sources, such as the Regional Secretary, Head of the General Affairs Section, and the SRIKANDI Administrator. Research shows that SRIKANDI successfully reduced the time spent manually searching for documents. Documents and archives can be stored digitally with this system, improving security, ease of access, and data transparency. Additionally, SRIKANDI accelerates decision-making and optimizes administrative processes. However, there are issues such as employes not yet understanding digital technology and disruptions due to unstable internet connections. These obstacles add to the time required to complete administrative tasks and disrupt the smooth operation of the system in some areas. This study found that SRIKANDI helps modernize archive management in the Regional Secretariat of Sekadau Regency, although there are some issues that need to be addressed. Therefore, continuous training and improvement of technological infrastructure are needed for this application to work better in the future to support effective and transparent government administration.
