Abstract

Peningkatan kasus Diabetes Melitus (DM) Tipe 2 di seluruh dunia membawa risiko komplikasi serius bagi penderitanya. Perawatan diri yang optimal dapat menjaga kadar gula darah tetap terkontrol dan mencegah komplikasi. Namun, penurunan fungsi kognitif pada beberapa penderita DM Tipe 2 sering kali menghambat pelaksanaan perawatan diri yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara status kognitif dan perawatan diri pada penderita DM Tipe 2 di Desa Pulo Kemiri, Kecamatan Babussalam, Kabupaten Aceh Tenggara. Penelitian deskriptif korelasional ini menggunakan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu seluruh penderita DM Tipe 2 berjumlah 88 orang dengan teknik total sampling sesuai kriteria inklusi. Instrumen Self-Care of Diabetes Inventory (SCODI) untuk menilai perawatan diri, dan status kognitif diukur dengan Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE). Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa sebagian besar responden lansia awal, berjenis kelamin perempuan, berpendidikan SMA, dan bekerja sebagai petani. Berdasarkan status kognitif, sebagian besar mengalami gangguan kognitif ringan dan memiliki tingkat perawatan diri yang kurang baik. Hasil uji chi-square menunjukkan nilai p-value sebesar 0,021, yang mengindikasikan hubungan signifikan antara status kognitif dan perawatan diri. Disarankan agar tenaga kesehatan memberikan edukasi berulang kepada penderita dengan gangguan kognitif ringan, melibatkan keluarga, serta menggunakan catatan perawatan atau aplikasi pengingat untuk mendukung perawatan yang lebih konsisten.

Abstract

Background: Learning turns theoretical knowledge into practice for nursing students. The quality of a student's clinical experience is influenced by the practice environment, supervision, and supervisor. The clinical practice environment influences the approach and achievement of student competencies. Supervision is important for quality nursing care, while effective supervisors act professionally and guide students in managing patients. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the clinical practice environment, supervision and supervisors with the clinical experience of students as an effort to prepare professional nurse graduates in the D-III Nursing study program in Kutacane, Poltekkes Kemenkes Aceh, totaling 64 students with a sampling technique, namely total sampling based on inclusive criteria. Methods: Type of research This is a correlational analytical descriptive with a cross sectional approach. Data analysis was carried out via Univariate and Bivariate. Results: The results of this research show that there is a significant relationship between the clinical practice environment, supervision and supervisors with the clinical experience of students in the D-III Nursing study program in Kutacane, Poltekkes Kemenkes Aceh with p-values of 0.033, 0.024 and 0.015. Conclusion:  Therefore, it is recommended that collaboration between educational institutions and health institutions be strengthened to create an optimal clinical practice environment.
