Abstract

Healthcare services quality in the modern era has become a central concern for both public and private healthcare sectors. Healthcare services are evaluated based on several key dimensions including tangibility, responsiveness, reliability, assurance, and empathy. Among these dimensions, reliability plays a crucial role in ensuring that healthcare services are delivered accurately and consistently. This study intends to investigate the impact of reliability on patient satisfaction among patient satisfaction in the unit of hemodialysis at Hajj Hospital Jakarta. It is hypothesized that service reliability has a positive impact on the level of hemodialysis patient satisfaction. The study used a cross-sectional study design and a quantitative research method. All patients undergoing hemodialysis at Hajj Hospital Jakarta were included in the target population. A consecutive sampling technique was used to carry out the sampling procedure, resulting 118 participants in total. Data collection was carried out through a structured questionnaire over a one-month period. The collected data were analyzed utilizing SPSS 26 software to perform simple linear regression. The results of this study show that the impact of reliability on hemodialysis patient satisfaction at Hajj Hospital Jakarta is statistically significant and positive.

Abstract

Pendulum-derived gravitational acceleration values vary unpredictably due to unquantified string length and initial angle dependencies. This study aims to assess the feasibility and precision of the mathematical pendulum swing method in measuring gravitational acceleration. The research investigates the relationship between the pendulum’s string length, oscillation period, and initial deviation angle. It is hypothesized that longer strings will result in slower oscillations while shorter strings produce faster motions. Additionally, the study examines how these factors collectively impact gravitational acceleration measurement. Through controlled experiments, the study’s goal is to determine the precision of the pendulum swing method in determining gravitational acceleration and the factors influencing its reliability. Results demonstrate that a simple mathematical pendulum accurately determines gravitational acceleration with a calculated value of approximately 9.95974m/s². The findings confirm that the square of the oscillation period is directly proportional to the string length (T² ∝ l) and emphasize the importance of maintaining the initial deviation angle under 10 degrees to ensure measurement accuracy. These findings reinforce the pendulum’s utility in physics education and affordable gravitational field assessment, particularly in resource-limited settings. The study provides a foundational framework for improving experimental accuracy in classical mechanics and highlights the method’s enduring relevance in scientific pedagogy and fundamental research.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the effect of tangible on hemodialysis patient satisfaction. The location and year of the study is at Rumah Sakit Haji Jakarta in 2022. The writer believes that there is a positive effect of tangible towards hemodialysis patient satisfaction at Rumah Sakit Haji Jakarta. Method: This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were every hemodialysis patients at Rumah Sakit Haji Jakarta. The sample of this research was obtained by using consecutive sampling technique with a sample of 118 hemodialysis patients in Rumah Sakit Haji Jakarta. Data collection was done using a questionnaire with 1 month as the length of time for data collection. The data analysis performed is simple linear regression analysis using SPSS 26. From the scale of 4, the description analysis shows that tangible scores an average of 3,37, meanwhile the dimension of patient satisfaction with the highest score of interpersonal behaviour with an average of 3,33 and the lowest score is financial aspect with an average of 3,09. The study shows that tangible gives positive and significant effect towards hemodialysis patient satisfaction at Rumah Sakit Haji Jakarta. The outcome of this study is expected to become a reference and guide for health care provider in increasing patient satisfaction.

Abstract

The use of lip tint is highly popular among women. However, lip tints that are popular for their aesthetics often contain ingredients that pose health risks such as Tartrazine, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, and Rhodamine B. To address this issue, the use of fruits as alternative cosmetic ingredients becomes an interesting solution. By utilizing beetroot (Beta vulgaris L.) extract as an option to replace dyes in lip tint, the same effective color can be obtained as with synthetic or conventional ingredients but with more natural properties. Beetroots are fruits rich in vitamin E and have red flesh. The vitamin and pigment content can help lips achieve a natural red color and prevent dryness. Therefore, research on beetroot extract processing is needed to increase public awareness of the potential for safer and higher-quality cosmetic ingredients for consumers.

Abstract

Correlation between Science Process Skills and Students’ Interaction With Practicum Tools in Surgical Practice and Microscope Observations. Objective: This study aimed to determine whether there was a significant correlation between Science Process Skills (SPS) and Student Interaction with Practicum Tools (SIPT) when the students were conducting Surgical Practice and Microscope Observations in their practicum session.  Methods: The design used for this study was descriptive correlational study with 11th grade high school students with a total of 58 students as the samples. Findings: The data were collected by using test and questionnaire as the instruments then were tested and analyzed using Spearman correlation test and Z test where the results were 0.16 (Spearman) and 1.21 (Z Test), which meant that there was no significant correlation between SPS and SIPT. Conclusion: As the conclusion, between SIPT and SPS, even though there was a mutual connection, it was not significant. One of the reasons was that the learning conditions at the time the research was carried out, the students must learn from home due to Covid-19 Pandemic that lessen the opportunities to learn directly at school. Keywords: student scientific skills, science process skills, motoric skills, practicum, students’ interaction, natural science.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i1.202209

Abstract

Enhancing Student Higher Order Thinking Skills through Problem-Based Learning Media Integration. Objectives: This quantitative research employed a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design to investigate the impact of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) media on student higher order thinking skills (HOTS). Methods: The research was conducted with students from XI IPA 3 and XI IPA 4 classes at a high school. Findings: Students using PBL-based media exhibited a mean score of 83 for HOTS, with a notable n-gain of 0.7, categorized as high. In contrast, the control group achieved an average posttest score of 74.1, accompanied by an n-gain of 0.5, classified as medium. Statistical analysis indicated a t-value of 4.376, signifying a significant effect of PBL media on students’ HOTS. Implementing the PBL-based media in the learning process was highly successful, achieving an average implementation percentage of 100% with excellent criteria. Conclusion: These findings affirm the positive influence of PBL-based media on students’ HOTS,underlining its potential as an effective teaching strategy. Keywords: higher order thingking, learning media, problem-based learning.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v13.i3.202317
