Abstract

UMKM Elok Mekar Sari Surabaya merupakan salah satu UKM yang di membawahi beberapa unit usaha, tercatat pada PKM ini UKM Elok Mekar Sari memiliki lebih dari 30 UMKM dan 50 lebih karya produk unggulan. Setiap unit usaha memiliki produk-produk hasil olahan sendiri-sendiri, yang merupakan hasil kreativitas dan inovasi dari anggota UKM. Untuk memperkenalkan produk mereka ke pasar, selama ini kegiatan promosi yang dilakukan sebatas bazar dan pameran. Banyak produk yang unik dan menarik tetapi belum banyak dikenal oleh masyarakat luas, mengakibatkan banyak produk yang belum terserap ke pasar secara maksimal. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan pengelola UMKM Elok Mekar Sari, produk-produk olahan hasil unit usahanya belum, banyak diketahui oleh masyarakat luas. Program kemitraan ini adalah untuk memberikan wadah terhadap produk-produk olahan unit usaha UMKM Elok Mekar Sari untuk meningkatkan brand awareness melalui desain produk terutama desain kemasan. Dengan pengembangan brand awareness, Pengelola UMKM berharap produk-produknya lebih dikenal oleh masyarakat luas, serapan pasar kuantitasnya besar sehingga bisa memberikan kesejahteraan bagi anggota. Untuk menjawab permasalahan mitra UMKM Elok Mekar Sari tersebut salah satu program kemitraan yang akan dilakukan adalah membuat beberapa desain terutama desain kemasan sebagai media untuk membantu promosi dan meningkatkan brand awareness produk-produk unit usaha UMKM Elok Mekar Sari. Demikian juga kegiatan yang akan dilakukan yaitu memberikan pelatihan konsultasi pengembangan produk melalui desain kemasan maupun desain produk lainnya.

Abstract

This research attempts to study the management of multifunctional furniture design in urban parks. Multifunctional furnitureis a product that can be used for various activities, but it is essential to consider the This research attempts to study the management of multifunctional furniture design in urban parks. Multifunctional furniture is a product that can be used for various activities, but it is essential to consider the design safety standards, especially from the aspect of its functionality design, because this furniture is located in crowded public areas. Field reviews show that many product facility designs have inadequate safety and comfort standards, which can adversely affect visitors, such as injuries, accidents, and negative behaviors and perceptions. Based on this, the research aims to align the management process of the functional design of urban park facilities with the visitors' motivation for activities. In the audit process, the researcher uses the concept development principles of the Function-Behavior-Structure (FBS) method, which is a theory of product design safety activation to determine priority facilities that need attention based on the types of design elements used. This research was conducted in a comprehensive type park in the city of Surabaya, specifically the Surabaya Zoo (KBS), using quantitative descriptive analysis methods. The results of this study indicate the need for recommendations for facility product designs that are safer and more functional.

Abstract

Parks have an important role for residents of the city of Surabaya, in addition to functioning as a place of relaxation, parks also have various important roles such as as a source of city lungs, family recreation facilities, entertainment, health, and sports to sharing knowledge and culture. Park Bench is one of the important facility products that can increase the value of satisfaction in the minds of visitors. The research here tries to explore further the design of the park bench by looking at the suitability of various aspects to support the comfort and safety of its use.          In this study, trying to harmonize the design of park benches by developing the concept of comfort and safety on ergonomic standards, first, the researchers studied and analyzed the existing conditions of several parks in the city of Surabaya and also analyzed the sources of supporting literature. Existing in this study took several samples of city park benches that matched the criteria to be used as subjects in the study, the two researchers then analyzed the criteria for developing product design management by looking at the needs of the user aspects by combining them with the suitability of Ergonomics standards. Furthermore, the researchers also tried to look at other supporting attributes in supporting the level of comfort and safety of park benches such as product quality consisting of aesthetics and functionality. The three researchers carried out data processing and calculations for calculating ergonomic values that could be applied to product design.         The research here is expected to be able to understand more deeply related to the development of the Surabaya city park bench design by applying the comfort and safety attributes in more detail and also to understand the standard characteristics that can be applied to the next park bench product design.
