Abstract

This study explores the practice of religious moderation within the framework of interreligious social interaction in Rejoagung Village, Jember, East Java, a community distinguished by its unique demographic composition of a Christian majority and a Muslim minority. Employing a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design, the research identifies forms of social engagement that embody the principles of religious moderation. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, field observations, and participatory documentation, and analyzed using Talcott Parsons’ structural functionalism framework with a particular emphasis on the AGIL scheme (Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, and Latency). The findings reveal that religious moderation in Rejoagung is rooted not merely in formal tolerance but in deeply internalized shared values embedded within the village’s social fabric. This harmony is maintained through cross-group adaptation, sustained collaborative activities, and the leadership of influential local figures who reinforce social cohesion. The study offers a context-specific contribution to the discourse on religious moderation by illustrating how the synergy between cultural norms, religious ethics, and local institutional practices can serve as a sustainable foundation for peaceful coexistence in a diverse society.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of information that reaches students about the capital market, so that it has an impact on low interest in investing. This is because the sources of information and educational facilities are still limited, therefore there needs to be a breakthrough by optimizing the role of social media. The purpose of this study was to find out how to optimize social media as a means of information and education about the capital market for students to be interested in becoming investors. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data obtained by distributing questionnaires electronically. The results of the study concluded that to optimize the function of social media as a means of motivating students to invest, it is necessary to strengthen the types of media most often used by students such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, YouTube, and so on, by means of multi-party collaboration such as the role of lecturers, friends, securities and investment galleries. The main basis for optimization is to understand the driving and inhibiting factors for students to invest.

Abstract

Maqashid al-sharia is a relevant approach as the basis for developing Islamic financial systems, operations, and products. The maqashid al-sharia holistic order is a light for the development of the Islamic financial system, especially in answering the dynamics of questions based on benefit. The Islamic financial system is part of the prerequisites that must be developed, not only at the conceptual level but also practically. Islam has provided comprehensive textual sources in providing human-first boundaries. But that alone is not enough, if it is not balanced with social inference. Maqashid al-sharia theory in the study of the Islamic financial system is a step forward in developing the most ideal Islamic economic model. This is because maqashid al-sharia can be used as a tool to help solve Islamic economic problems, especially in establishing rules or laws.
