Abstract

The method used in this research is a mixed method with the research design that is explanatory sequential design. The result of this research are (1) Mathematical reasoning ability of grade VII students after being given learning by using PBL with mind mapping reached minimal completeness criteria; (2) the description of students' mathematical reasoning ability with independent field cognitive style were capable to present mathematical statements, propose conjecture, do mathematical manipulation, give reason to solution, and draw conclusion; and (3) the description of students' mathematical reasoning ability with field-dependent cognitive style were capable to present mathematical statements, yet incapable to propose conjecture, FDK students were less able to manipulate mathematics, while FDL students were incapable to perform mathematical manipulation, provide reason for solution, and draw conclusions.

Abstract

Rendahnya skor literasi matematika siswa Indonesia berdasarkan survei PISA 2022 menjadi perhatian kita bersama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelediki pengaruh Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang dikombinasikan dengan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) berbantuan Kahoot terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika siswa. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan Pre-Experimental dan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest, digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Sampel sebanyak 36 siswa kelas XI PPLG 1, yang dipilih melalui teknik cluster random sampling merupakan siswa SMK Negeri 8 Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan tes pretest dan posttest melalui platform Kahoot sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Luaran penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai pre-test adalah 42,50 dan meningkat menjadi 94,42 pada post-test. Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai asymp. sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, yang mengindikasi adanya perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pre-test dan post-test. Dengan demikian, penerapan PBL dikombinasikan CRT berbantuan Kahoot berpengaruh signifikan meningkatkan literasi matematika siswa. Model ini terbukti menciptakan pembelajaran yang kontekstual, berpusat pada siswa, menyenangkan, bermakna, dan relevan dengan latar belakang budaya siswa.
