Abstract

This study aims to describe the existence of women reflected in the beautiful novel by Vanny Chrisma W. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach, the type of research is a feminist study. The data in this study are words and sentences in the Beautiful novel by Vanny Chrisma W. Data collection was carried out using library study techniques. Data analysis techniques were carried out qualitatively. The results of the study indicate that the existence of women in the novel is an existence in the fields of education and social. While the existence in the fields of law, economics and politics is not found in the novel

Abstract

Background & Objective: The night shift among nurses poses risks of circadian rhythm disruption, fatigue, and decreased alertness, which impact their performance. Napping during night shifts has been proposed as a strategy to reduce fatigue and enhance nurses' performance. Method: This study aims to analyze the effect of 90-minute healthy napping on the performance of night shift nurses at the Inpatient Installation of RSU Mitra Sejati Medan. This research employs a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. A total of 108 nurses participated in the study and were divided into two groups, each taking a 90-minute nap between 01:00–02:30 AM and 02:30–04:00 AM. Nurses’ performance was measured before and after the intervention using a questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Result: The results indicate a significant improvement in nurses' performance following the intervention (p = 0.000). Before the intervention, the majority of nurses had a moderate performance level (60.2%), with only 11.1% exhibiting good performance. After the intervention, 61.1% of nurses improved to the good performance category. Conclusion: This study concludes that 90-minute healthy napping is effective in enhancing night shift nurses' performance. Implementing this strategy can serve as a solution to maintaining service quality during night shifts.

Abstract

Background: Anemia in pregnant women is when in the first and third trimesters of pregnancy the hemoglobin level is <11 gr/dl or in the second trimester of pregnancy the hemoglobin level is <10.5 gr/dl. Anemia in pregnancy can be caused by iron deficiency and treatment of anemia caused by iron deficiency can be overcome easily and cheaply. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women toward preventing anemia during pregnancy at the Padang Bulan Community Health Center. Method: This study used a descriptive method with a cross-sectional research design using a purposive sampling technique. The population in this study were all pregnant women who underwent Antenatal Care examinations totaling 245 respondents, with a sample of 38 people in the study. The measuring instrument for this study was a questionnaire with data collection using a frequency distribution. Results: The results showed that pregnant women with good knowledge about preventing anemia were 18 people (47.4%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ekologi budaya dalam Novel Dijamin Bukan Mimpi karya Musmarwan Abdullah dan Novel Tungku karya Salman Yoga S. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dalam Novel Dijamin Bukan Mimpi karya Musmarwan Abdullah dan Novel Tungku karya Salman Yoga S dikumpulkan dengan teknik dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) ekologi budaya dalam Novel Dijamin Bukan Mimpi karya Musmarwan Abdullah ada 3 jenis, yaitu ketertinggalan budaya, kebudayaan tradisional, dan pertentangan kebudayaan; (2) ekologi budaya dalam Novel Tungku karya Salman Yoga S ada 2 jenis, yaitu kebudayaan tradisional dan pertentangan kebudayaan, sedangkan ketertinggalan budaya tidak terdapat dalam Novel Tungku karya Salman Yoga S
