Abstract

Abstract. This Best Practice research aims to: Describe the Strengthening on Students' Religious Character during the distance learning period by using a Virtual Laboratory and Google Classroom. Research method: descriptive analysis with documentation as the source of research data and questions indicator instrument concerning student’s religious character. Strategies applied was online learning through Virtual Laboratory which presented learning videos and Google Classroom for task upload, through the following stages: (1) Teacher prepared the Lesson; (2) Teacher prepared learning materials and assignments thus uploaded them on Google Classroom; (3). Students upload their tasks through Google Classroom media (4) Teacher monitored the implementation of online learning process; (5) Teacher provided feedbacks on the online learning. Result of research: a significant data was obtained at the level of religious character strengthening, on the concept of growth and development, the average was 88,54% on good category, the concept of Photosynthesis at the average of 92,55 % on very good category. The conclusion of this research is there was strengthening of religious character through the use of virtual laboratory and google classroom.Keywords: covid-19, google classroom, virtual laboratory,strengthening of religious character, online learning.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to improve students' biology learning achievement in Animalia material by using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. The research subjects were students of class X IPA Al-Qomar MAN Insan Cendekia Kota Palu even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year that consist of 24 students. This research uses collaborative classroom action research (PTKK). The research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle was carried out in 2 meetings through four stages, namely planning, actions, observing and reflecting. The results showed that the application of the Project based learning (PjBL) model could improve students' biology learning achievement with an average score in cycle I of 77.85 and in cycle II learning achievement increased with an average score of 87.10. Posttest results showed an increase in student learning achievement in the form of classical comprehend of 96% and an increase in absorption of 46.85%.Key words: Project based learning, learning achievement, Animalia

Abstract

Abstract. This research was a classroom action research that performed by planning, action, observation, and reflection in each cycle. The research objective was to show the application of guided inquiry learning model in improving student’s Science Process Skill and student’s cognitive learning outcomes at grade XII IPA 1 of MAN Insan Cendekia Kota Palu. This research was focused on floating leaf disk. The subject of research was students of XII IPA 1 of MAN Insan Cendekia Kota Palu that consist of 25 students. The instruments were students’ work sheet and science process skill, teacher and students’ activity sheet, and students’ cognitive result test. Data were obtained by observation, interview, test, and documentation. Data validation used triangulation method. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive technique. The results of the research showed that guided inquiry learning model improved students' science process skills. It was showed by the precentage average of science skill (observtion and conclusion skill) in cycle I was 78,84 % and in cycle II was 90,55% (improve 11,71%). The average of students’ test improved from 81,17% in cycle 1 to 87,51% in cycle 2. The improvement of students’ achievement was showed by the increase of students’ maximum score from 85,71% in cycle I to 96,42% in cycle II. and percentage of classical comprehend from 86.73% in cycle 1 to 88.32% in cycle 2.Keywords: guided inquiry, science process skills, practical, scientific work, learning achievement.
