Abstract

This paper develops a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) approach for a microgrid-linked solar photovoltaic (PV) system based on the concept of a perturb and observe (P&O) approach. It is an iterative algorithm that requires a starting point to trace the maximum power point tracking. This study proposes the P&O MPPT algorithm for a 3-ɸ grid-connected PV system. In this work, the PV system is modeled as a DC grid-connected PV system, and the MPPT algorithm is applied to that model. An MPPT application is used in this proposal to amplify the effectiveness of the PV array in face of any unsteady climatic circumstances. Hence, the highest energy could be secured out of the solar PV array and interfaced with the grid. The voltage source converter will empower defining of boundaries and greatest degrees of force from sunlight-based chargers in an efficient way. A few outcomes like the current, voltage and result power for each different mix have been noted.

Abstract

The use of photovoltaic (PV) systems for generating electric power is increasing in our everyday lives but since the generated voltage and current vary non linearly it has been very difficult to trace the maximum power point (MPP) of the PV systems so to overcome with this problem many power tracking methods were introduced out of which fuzzy logic technique was found to be one of the easy and efficient maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method. In this paper, various MPPT algorithms are observed how they help in improving the efficiency of PV systems by adjusting the duty ratio of the power interface, and also understand why the fuzzy logic control (FLC) technique is preferred over other algorithms. The system was established using MATLAB/Simulink.

Abstract

Solar photovoltaic (PV) power, for its multiple benefits, has adhered to prominent consideration in the electrical energy generation region. The double-stage triple-phase grid-connected solar PV (SPV) system is utilized to enhance the power quality by employing a lymphoblastoid cell lines LCL filter. In this method, a DC-DC converter and DC-AC converter make a feasible juncture of the PV systems to the electrical interface. For converting boosted DC into AC, A 3-phase DC-AC converter is used, which is supplied into the grid. A 3-phase voltage converter is employed in place of an inverter for interfacing amid the voltage generated by the PV system and the grid possessing an AC transmission line. An maximum power point tracking (MPPT) application is used in this proposal to amplify the effectiveness of the PV array in face of any unsteady climatic circumstances. Hence, the highest energy could be secured out of the solar PV array and interfaced with the grid. Enhancing power quality by employing an LCL filter is quantified by FFT analysis in MATLAB. The advised proposal has attained a very low total harmonic distortion (THD), proving its efficacy. Also, the outcomes ascertain the applications of the proposed system and extend future advances of renewable energy with a great power quality improvement.

Abstract

With the increase in demand for solar power, a solar power forecasting model is of maximum importance to allow a higher level of integration of non-conventional energy into the existing electricity grid. With the advancement in data availability, there’s a good time to use data-driven algorithms for enhanced prediction of solar energy generation. Gathering and analyzing data can predict solar energy generation and mitigate the impact of solar intermittency. During this research, we explore automatically creating prediction models that are site-specific utilizing machine learning to generate solar radiation from meteorological station weather forecast reports, and from the predicted solar radiation corresponding solar power output can be calculated depending upon the characteristics of the solar PV system used. The challenge is to enhance the accuracy of the forecast. Ensemble techniques like random forest (RF) and extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) are well suited for solar radiation prediction as they improve stability as well as combine several machine learning models to reduce variation and bias which outperforms the majority of models, as a result making them a perfect model in the field of solar energy prediction.

Abstract

Text keywords have huge variance and to bridge the gap between the country business segment which provides negligible information and the keywords that have a huge longtail it is imperative for us to categorize the queries that provide a middle ground and also serve a few other purposes. The paper will present those in-depth. Query categorization falls into the segment of 'Multi-Class Classification' in the domain of natural language processing (NLP). However, business requirements require the implementation of any technique that could provide as accurate results as possible. So, to solve this problem the paper discusses an amalgamation of approaches like TF-IDF (term frequency-inverse document frequency), neural networks, cosine similarity, transformers-all of which fix specific issues.

Abstract

Microgrid stands for the participation of renewable sources such as solar and wind in the existing energy system in order to increase the availability and reliability of energy for consumers and to make the atmosphere carbon-free by reducing dependence on the main grid. However, the non-linearities inherent in the nature of the microgrid and network components make the programming process complex. Therefore, the efficient but linear model for microgrid resource planning algorithms is gaining interest today due to its simplicity and computational speed. On the contrary, for demand-side management, reducing the peak demand price by using different methods such as load trimming and valley filling by varying the use of flexible loads on the consumer side, which is an easier option for microgrid operators, rush hour price for consumer satisfaction. This paper gives an idea of the above purpose by designing an average model of a solar microgrid with the implementation of the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm method for stability of the system frequency and a battery storage system with a controller. You then plan the microgrid using the demand side management (DSM) method in order to reduce the cause of the price spikes.

Abstract

The users of power distribution and transmission networks are generally guided to sustain advanced power factor (PF) of load as it is affecting the power loss of a feeder network where it separately owns major influence on electric charges layout. Therefore, some cautious loss allotment schemes are to be incorporated and an acceptable satisfying/penalizing policy for advanced/less PF users, independently. Keeping this in view, the mentioned article proposed a new scheme, i.e., the active power loss allocation (APLA) procedure which allows power loss to the system distributors by considering the load demands, topographical localities, and PFs. A newly modified procedure assigns inducements hardly to all the involved utilizers against change in load PF continuously, where it is evaluated via proper mathematical and statistical study. The efficiency of the newly modified APLA scheme is explored in two dissimilar frameworks of low PF using 33 bus system radially distributed network (RDN). The interpretation is in favor of examined transmitted, distributed, and allows generated PF to be verified subsequently. Comparatively, the results achieved highlight the originality of the present method compared with different standard schemes/frameworks.

Abstract

The Van Allen belts are said to be a pack of highly energetic particles which are extremely fatal to electronic systems and living beings. Very little information is known about them. Besides the data from past missions, it’s still not enough to draw any conclusion regarding the phenomenon of its shape, size, and density. The paper talks of a cost-effective satellite mission named Vansat to study the Van Allen belts in depth. The project aims to study the energetic particles, magnetic fields, and plasma waves in the radiation belts. The mission also focuses on having environment-friendly concepts demonstrated through the technologies along with a reduction in the complexity of the devices and instruments. Vansat consists of a dual satellite system-one satellite to study the inner belt and the other to study the outer belts. The octagonal geometry of the satellite along with wings and solar panels ensure aero dynamicity, energy saving as well as radiation shielding.
