This paper presents a design and implementation of an automated smart hydroponics system using internet of things. The challenges to be solved with this system are the increasing food demand in the world, the need of market of new sustainable method of farming using the Internet of Things. The design was implemented using NodeMcu, Node Red, MQTT and sensors that were chosen during component selection based on required parameters and sending it to the cloud to monitor and be processed. Investigation on previous works done and a review of Internet of Things and Hydroponic systems were done. First the prototype was constructed, programmed and tested, as well as sensors data between two different environments were taken and monitored on cloud-based web page with mobile application. Moreover, a bot has been introduced to control the supply chain and for notification purposes. The system improved its performance and allows it to successfully achieve the aim of the entire system implemented. There are some limitations which can be improved as future work such as including data science with the usage of the artificial intelligence to further improve the crops and get better outcome. Lastly to design end user platform to ease user interaction by using attractive design with no technical configuration involved.

Falls have long been one of the most serious threats to elderly people's health. Detecting falls in real-time can reduce the time the elderly remains on the floor after a fall, hence avoiding fall-related medical conditions. Recently, the fall detection problem has been extensively researched. However, the fall detection systems that use a traditional internet of things (IoT) architecture have some limitations such as latency, high power consumption, and poor performance in areas with unstable internet. This paper intends to show the efficacy of detecting falls in a resource-constrained microcontroller at the edge of the network using a wearable accelerometer. Since the hardware resources of microcontrollers are limited, a lightweight fall detection deep learning model was developed to be deployed on a microcontroller with only a few kilobytes of memory. The microcontroller was installed in a low-power wide-area network based on long range (LoRa) communication technology. Through comparative testing of different lightweight neural networks and traditional machine learning algorithms, the convolutional neural network (CNN) has been shown to be the most suited, with 95.55% accuracy. The CNN model reached inference times lower than 37.84 ms with 61.084 kilobytes storage requirements, which implies the capability to detect fall event in real-time in low-power microcontrollers.

This papaer entitled electronic toll collection system based on Radio Frequncy Identification System explained in detail based on current issue at toll collection system. There are some obstacles faced every day where the users spent their valuable time in queue at tollgate due to traffic congestion as well as using traditional manual method in most existing toll ETC system to collect toll from road users. Besides that, the barrier design where each vehicle stop waiting until barrier lift which consider source of time delay. To tackle stated problems, an electronic toll collection system is proposed which based on RFID technology. The integrated system consists of two main sections, electronic sides where all input data received from while database management office is where all necessary information stored. To compare the current ETC system, in this research elaborated internet of things where all data transmit through cloud and then to the main office in real time. Not only that, there is some enhancement based on barrier design where, gate is remained open for all vehicles with sufficient tags without requiring to stop to eliminate time delay.By check system throughput compare to existing toll systems, various tests have been carried out in different method where proposed system throughput much higher percentage the current system.

Fields such as military, transportation applications, human services, smart cities and many others utilized Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) in their operations. Despite its beneficial use, occurrence of obstacles is inevitable. From the sensed data, the randomly nodes distribution will produce multiple benefits from self-configuration and regular positioning reporting. Lately, localization and tracking issues have received a remarkable attention in WSNs, as accomplishing high localization accuracy when low energy is used, is much needed. In this paper, a new method and standards-compliant scheme according to the incorporation of GPS location data into the IPv6 address of WSN nodes is suggested. The suggestion is likewise others which depends on ground-truth anchor nodes, with a difference of using the network address to deliver the information. The findings from the results revealed that perfect GPS coordinates can be conducted in the IPv6 address as well as with the transmission radius of the node, and the information is significantly adequate to predict a node’s location. The location scheme performance is assessed in OMNet++ simulation according to the positioning error and the power metrics used. Moreover, some improvement practices to increase the precision of the node location are suggested.
