Abstract

Helminthiasis are the common health problem in the develop country. WHO prediction  400 million people had infection of helminthiasis. Soil is the usual media to transmitted helminth to human (soil transmitted helminthiasis). One of the rule worker that has hard contact  to helminth is the brick maker. This activity usual doing with convensional technique. The objective of  this devotion are to knowing helminthiasis prevalence on brick maker in Lambada Peukan Village. The primer data is the count of helminthiasis that get from feces examination in laboratory. This result overgo to promotive, preventive and curative activity. The helminthiasis prevalence in Lambada Peukan is 37,5%. To resolve this problem we doing the preventive and curative activity with giving albendazole preparat and Ferrum. Beside that we also make education activity to the workers. The aim of this activity is to increase need and ability of  the worker  to maintance from helminthiasis. The workers who in participated in this programme had having positive response that they want  to participated in all off this programme.

Abstract

The elevated activity of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-9 has been responsible for degradation of extracellular matrix (ECM) within lung parenchyma leading to emphysema among patientssuffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Prolonged exposure of smokinghad triggered activation of both MMP-9 and MMP-3. Active MMP-3 might degrade numerous kinds of ECM and act as MMP-9 inducer as well. The study aimed to correlate active MMP-3 towards elevated MMP-9 activity from both gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) and sputum to assess breakage of extracellular matrix (ECM) among emphysematous patients. Fifteen emphysematous respondents suffering from COPD were recruited to undergo thoroughly physical assessment, spirometry, and radiological examination. Then, both GCF and sputum were collected for measurement of MMP-3 and MMP-9 activity. Results showed that MMP-3 activities were correlated positively and significant with elevated MMP-9 activities from both GCF and sputum i.e. r = 0.899 (p0.05) and r = 0.770 (p0.05) respectively. Smoking exposure released many radicals and oxidants generating elevation of MMP-3 activity which then influenced repeatedly influx of neutrophils and activation of MMP-9. The role of active MMP-3 also involved in either acute inflammatory or broad ECM breakage. Moreover, active MMP-9 might lead mainly the degradation of ECM within lung parenchyma. Because of similar effect and impact concerning ECM degradation, both active MMP-3 and MMP-9 might concurrently cause larger breakage of ECM leading to lung emphysema among COPD patients. This study showed that both GCF and sputum would be assigned to evaluate active MMP-3 and MMP-9 for assessing ECM degradation among emphysematous patients.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) has become a global health threat with millions of cases each year. Therefore, rapid and accurate detection is needed to control its spread. The application of artificial intelligence, especially Deep Learning (DL), has shown great potential in improving the accuracy of TB detection through DL-based X-ray image analysis. Although many studies have developed X-ray image classification models, very few have integrated them into web or mobile platforms. In addition, the models integrated into these platforms generally do not apply continuous learning methods so that model performance cannot be updated. Thus, it is necessary to build an intelligent system based on a web application that integrates the ResNet-101 model for TB detection in X-ray images. This system utilizes continuous learning methods, allowing the model to automatically update itself with new data, thereby improving detection performance over time. The results showed that before continuous learning, the model successfully classified all TB images correctly, but was only able to classify two normal images correctly, resulting in an accuracy of 62.5%. After manual continuous learning, the model showed an increase in accuracy to 71.4%, with better ability to recognize normal images, although there was a slight decrease in performance in detecting TB.

Abstract

Abstract: Diabetes mellitus is a worrying health problem. Aceh Province has the highest prevalence of diabetes in Indonesia, and Aceh Besar Regency is ranked 2nd in Aceh. One of the triggers is because its people often consume foods with a high glycemic index. The purpose of this activity is to improve public understanding and skills about healthy lifestyles through education and introduction to healthy foods, as well as checking blood sugar and blood pressure levels. The methods of this activity consist of: surveys, focus group discussions, counseling on healthy lifestyles, introduction to healthy foods made from mocaf which has a low glycemic index and butterfly pea flowers which have a high antioxidant content. This activity was attended by 16 PKK members and 18 other community members. Evaluation of the activity was carried out by giving questions in the form of pretests and posttests to the participants. The results of the activity showed an increase in public understanding regarding how to live a healthy life to avoid diabetes mellitus by an average of 65%. The results of the blood sugar examination showed that 86.4% of participants had normal blood sugar levels (70-140mg/dL) and there were 13.6% of participants with high blood sugar levels (>200mg/dL). This activity is expected to increase awareness among village communities to live a healthy life, so as to avoid diabetes mellitus.
