Abstract

Pelayanan penyembuhan seringkali hanya dipahami secara fisik. Karena itu orang sakit sering mengharapkan penyembuhan yang biasa disebut dengan dengan curing. Padahal, tidak setiap penyakit dapat disembuhkan secara fisik. Walaupun demikian, orang sakit tetap dapat memperoleh penyembuhan atau healing, bila penyembuhan itu dipahami secara holistik. Penyembuhan holistik dilandasi pemikiran bahwa manusia tidak hanya mempunyai aspek fisik, tetapi juga aspek mental, sosial, dan spiritual. Karena itu penyembuhan holistik melebihi dari penyembuhan fisik. Bila penyembuhan fisik sudah tidak dapat dilakukan, orang yang sakit masih bisa mendapatkan penyembuhan, secara khusus penyembuhan aspek spiritualnya. Di dalam Alkitab disaksikan bahwa penyembuhan yang dilakukan Yesus tidak hanya bersifat fisik, tetapi juga holistik. Paulus tidak mengalami penyembuhan fisik ketika ia sakit. Namun ia mendapatkan penyembuhan secara spiritual dari Tuhan. Penyembuhan ini memungkinkan ia menilai secara potitif akan penyakit jasmani yang dideritanya. Ia bahkan bisa bersyukur dan melihat makna di balik penyakitnya itu. Karena orang sakit yang tidak bisa disembuhkan lagi secara medis masih bisa mendapatkan kehidupan spiritual bersama Tuhan, bagi orang beriman, kematian tidak lagi menakutkan. Pelayanan melalui hospice juga akan membantu dia dan keluarganya untuk menghadapi kematian. Dalam kaitan dengan hal ini, gereja diharapkan menjadi penyembuh untuk melakukan pelayanan penyembuhan secara holistik yang bisa dikerjasamakan secara lintas iman. Dalam pelayanan ini,  peran pendampingan pastoral menjadi sangat penting.

Abstract

The family is an institution that cannot be separated from problems. The problems faced by the family can lead the family to an emotional divorce. This emotional divorce is a much more severe condition than a physical or legal divorce. This condition is even more severe if it occurs in a family of God’s servants, because they bear a double burden related to their status. For this reason, it is necessary to think about pastoral counselling for family who experience emotional divorce. This research was conducted using a qualitative method through a case study approach. It is hoped that the findings in this study can provide an understanding of family pastoral counselling for those who experience emotional divorce so that the impact of emotional divorce on family members can be minimized.

Abstract

Premarital pregnancy among Christian adolescents constitutes a complex social, psychological, and pastoral issue in Indonesia, where religious and cultural values strongly influence public perceptions of sexuality and family life. This study examines the causes and challenges of premarital pregnancy among church youth and evaluates the church's role in providing pastoral care. Using a qualitative multiple-case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews and participant observation involving adolescent mothers, family members, and church leaders in two congregations of the Protestant Church of Maluku. The findings reveal that premarital pregnancy is associated with limited sexuality education, inadequate parent–child communication, and premarital sexual relationships. Adolescent mothers experience shame, stress, trauma, and social stigma, which are reinforced by socio-religious narratives that frame pregnancy outside marriage as sin and disgrace. The study further demonstrates that church responses remain largely reactive rather than restorative. It argues for holistic pastoral care integrating emotional support, parenting education, family accompaniment, and spiritual guidance to promote the well-being and social reintegration of adolescent mothers.

Abstract

This thesis aims to determine the factors causing the low participation of young men and women in church services at the GMIH Eben-Haezer Tuguis Congregation. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document studies. The results of the study indicate that low participation is caused by two factors: internal factors and external factors. Both fear, anxiety, and shame that arise from oneself due to ignorance, ministry trauma, bullying , minimal pastoral care from the church, and family also contribute to the impact. The church has a significant role in seeing the lives of the congregation, especially through three dimensions of its service: koinonia (fellowship), marturia (witness), and diakonia (service). In this context, youth are also an integral part of the Body of Christ and are called to take an active part in church life, as the future generation of the church. Many factors influence and become causes, which encourage every church leader to look at this. Therefore, This study suggests an empowerment-based pastoral approach so that youth can experience healing, growth, and active involvement.
