Abstract

Sanata Dharma University Physics students are supposed to improve Sanata Dharma main values: truth, justice, diversity, and human dignity. The improvement is done through PPKMB program, a character building program in one semester. This research wants to see whether this program succeeded or not. The research used 42 physics students as sample. The PPKMB program is used as a treatment. The research applied some instruments such as questionnaires, field notes, and student report on their project. Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results show that the truth, justice, and diversity values improved, the human dignity value was not significantly different, and according to the students this program was useful and successful.DOI: https://doi.org/10.24071/ijiet.2017.010207

Abstract

Indonesia consists of many islands, cultures, ethnicities, and religions. This country will be strong if its people would like to live and work together peacefully. It can be done if they accept their differences and want to work together as one nation. The spirit should be taught since the elementary schools until universities. Thus, the curriculum, teachers, and teacher training institutes should be pluralistic and multicultural. Indonesian schools should provide and improve the pluralistic and multicultural spirit and environment, because there are still many obstacles in these matters.DOI: https://doi.org/10.24071/ijiet.2017.010102

Abstract

Mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika Semester I, USD, pada TA 2015-2016, mendapatkan program pembinaan kepribadian dan pembelajaran PPKMB yang dilakukan selama satu semester dengan bahan gabungan dari program Universitas dan ballan dari FKIP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sumbangan program PPKMB terhadap tingkat kesadaran diri,kesadaran belajar, cita-cita, persahabatan, dan kegembiraan pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika, semester I tersebut. Sampelnya adalah seluruh mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika semester I yang beljumlah 47 orang. Treatmen yang digunakan adalah pendampingan mahasiswa dengan program PPKMB. Secara umum acara pendampingan itu dilakukan sebagaiberikut: pendamping memberikan peugantar ten tang bahan, mahasiswa memikirkan dan merefieksikan secara pribadi, dilanjutkan sharing dalam kelompok kecil, dan wakil dari tiap kelompok mengungkapkan dalam pleno apa yang dialamidan diperoleh. Instrurnen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner, catatan lapangan, dan lembar kerja mahasiswa. Data dianalisissecara statistik untuk melihat tingkat masing-masing unsur dan perkembangan yang teljadi, sedangkan data kualitatif dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasilnya rnenunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesadaran diri, cita-cita, dan persahabatan dengan ternan tinggi; kesadaran belajar cukup; tingkat kesadaran diri dan kesadaran belajar rnereka mengalami perkembangan dari bulan pertama ke bulan ketiga; serta mabasiswa gembira belajar di USD.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetabui pengarubpembelajaran statistika konstruktivis terhadap perkembanganpengetahuan dan karakter mahasiswa pendidikan BiologiUniversitas Sanata Dharma. Pertanyaan utama adalah (I)apakah pengetahuan mahasiswa meningkat, (2) apakah tingkatkarakter mahasiswa menjadi lebih tinggi, dan (3) karakter manayang dirasakan sangat berkembang oleb mahasiswa. SampeJnyaadalah 34 mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi yang sedangmengikuti kuliah statistika. Pembelajaran statistika konstruktivisdigunakan sebagai treatment. Instrumen penelitian berupapretest dan postest untuk mengetahui kernajuan pengetahuan mahasiswa dan angket untuk melihat karakter mahasiswa setelah mempelajari statistika dengan pendekatan konstruktivis. Hasil penelitian adalah (I) pengetabuan mahasiswa rneningkat secara signifikan; (2) karakter mahasiswa tinggi; dan (3) nilai karakter yang sangat dirasakan oleh rnahasiswa adalah ketelitian, kerja sarna, kejujuran, dan disiplin.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of the Ignatian pedagogy paradigm (PPI) toward the development of competence, conscience, compassion, commitment, and interest of physics students on their learning about research methodology course. The sample of this research is 48 students who took research methodology course. This research uses PPI as treatment. The instruments that were used are a questionaire, observation, and documentation. The research uses quantitative and qualitative analysis. To compare the result of pretest and posttest, t-dependent test is used. The result of the research is that the competence, conscience, compassion, and interest of students significantly increase; but their commitment is not significantly improved.

Abstract

The purpose of this workshop was to help Yayasan YSMAK write books about its own spirituality. Yayasan YSMAK wanted to apply the spirituality for all its institutions such as education, orphanage, and polyclinics, but Yayasan had no such books yet. So YSMAK conducted a workshop to write those books. There were 22 teachers and Abdi Kristus nuns who were chosen to be team members for writing those books. A lecturer from Sanata Dharma University, was asked to be a facilitator and editor for the workshop. The workshop had been done during 6 months, from September 2018 to March 2019. The result was that they were able to write 6 books about the MHA spirituality for: kinder garden schools, primary schools, middle schools, vocation school, orphanage, and policlinics. During the workshop the facilitator conducted a retreat and guided them how to write a book on spirituality. He also made correction and edited the books.

Abstract

The purpose of this workshop was to help ASJI’s SMK principals and curriculum staff better understand the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm (Paradigma Pedagogi Ignatian -- PPI). The SMK principals and staff were aware that they did not understand enough what PPI was and how to apply PPI in the context of Vocational High Schools (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan -- SMK). So they wanted to know better and learned more about the PPI spirit, values, and dynamics.To help those principals and staff’s needs, ASJI provided a workshop on PPI. A lecturer from Sanata Dharma University was invited to guide the workshop as an instructor. During the workshop, the participants discussed PPI and planned how to apply and improve PPI in their own schools. The result was that every school made one program (RPP) to implement PPI in their schools.
