Abstract

The SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes a worldwide pandemic has changed the learning system to online since early 2020. However, the Ministerial Decree 4 states that schools may hold face-to-face learning in 2021. The purpose of the study was to determine the preparation of elementary schools to carry out face-to-face learning. This type of research is descriptive with a population of 45 elementary schools in the district of West Semarang. The results of the study provide an overview of toilets (100%), hand washing facilities (100%), disinfection (100%), access to health services (87%), application of social distancing (10%), checking body temperature (56%), use of PPE (100%), human resources (80%), parent counseling (100%), monitoring (68%). So, it can be concluded that elementary schools are ready to learn face-to-face with an average score of 85.8%.

Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) cases in the working area of Margorejo Health Center increased significantly from seven (2021) to 66 (September 2022). One of the efforts to anticipate the disease is acknowledging the distribution pattern of DHF using GIS. This study proposes to reveal the spatial pattern of case distribution, mapping of the vulnerable area, and overlay of LFP (larvae-free rate) related to DHF in the determined working area of Margorejo Health Center. This study was descriptive. The population was patients of DHF. The selected samples were 66. Data were analyzed utilizing univariate and spatial analyses, based on the Average Nearest Neighbor statistical analyses, p-value = 0.001, Z-score = -7.078, and NNI = 0.54<1. These results indicate a clustered spatial pattern, primarily in densely populated areas. The distribution is seen in the buffer area of 250 meters, 750 meters, and 800 meters. The dengue case intensity, population density, and buffer area determine vulnerable areas. Based on the elaborated maps, further, follow-ups related to countermeasures and prevention of DHF are expected to be carried out in the determined area.

Abstract

Households with access to wastewater sewerage in Pamotan in 2022 only be 69.9%. This study aims to find out the factors related to household wastewater sewerage ownership in the Pamotan Community Health Center Working Area. This research was an observational analytic using a cross-sectional design. The research population was all families in Pamotan subdistrict villages with the lowest ownership of wastewater sewerage, with a sample size of 90 families. The independent variables are land availability, length of year residence, knowledge, education, and income for the dependent variable, that are ownership of the Waste Water Sewerage. The data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate statistics, employing the Chi-Square test. The results of the study showed that land availability (p=0.04), education level (p=0.018), knowledge level (p=0.003), and income (p=0.00) are related to household wastewater disposal ownership while the length of year residence (p=0.257) is not related to ownership of household wastewater sewerage in the Pamotan Subdistrict. Based on the research results, the length of year residence is not related to household wastewater sewerage ownership because people's old habits that are not good at managing household wastewater result in wastewater sewerage ownership behavior not fulfilling standards.
