Abstract

In the learning process, most students have difficulties to understand the chemistry subject that delivered by the teacher. One thing that caused the difficulties of student learning was the minimum used of an appropriate learning model by the the teacher. This study was conducted to know the influence of Two Stay Two Stray learning model towards the improving of student learning result of Oxidation and Reduction Reaction Material, the student activity, and student response towards the study model of Two Stay Two Stray in SMA Bina Bangsa. The sample in this research was the students in class X of SMA Bina Bangsa. This research used the quantitative approach with a design research of Pre-Eksperimen. Data collection was done by multiple choice test, observation and student response questionnaire. The result showed that there was an increasing in student learning that taught by using learning model of Two Stay Two Stray at the test of normality with a significant level X2 count < X2 table or 1.467 < 11,1 states that the test has a normal distribution, whereas the t test with significance level of Tcount > Ttable or 8.251 > 2.13 that states there was an influence towards the students study research by using the Two Stay Two Stray model, while by n-Gain test the average students reaches the high criteria. The observation result of student activity has increased from 79.14% at the 1st meeting to become 88.33% at the 2nd meeting, the students also have a positive response towards the application of Two Stay Two Stray model study on Oxidation and Reduction Reaction material, with the student response percentage of “Yes” was 84% which means the students were interested with the Two Stay Two Stray model study.

Abstract

In some cases, students face some difficulties to understand the topic of chemistry that delivered by teachers. Currently, there is no proper media that can be applied on learning process in order to enhance students’ capabilities in gaining the goal. Therefore, the study is conducted in using macromedia flash to describe buffer solution topic at Class XI Islamic Senior High School (MAN) Darussalam. This study aims to determine students' learning outcomes through the use of macromedia flash on buffer solution at class XI MAN Darussalam. The research question: is macromedia flash can be used on buffer solution material to improve student learning result of class XI MAN Darussalam?. The population of this study was the students of the second year of MAN 1 Darussalam. Meanwhile, the sample was taken from two classes; XI IPA 1 as experimental class and XI IPA 2 as control class. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. The research adopted quantitative approach in using numeric data which is analyzed by statistical method. Data was collected by using multiple choice instruments. The results showed that the average score of the experimental class =79.7 and the average score of the control class = 67.5. Furthermore, the test results are analyzed by processing hypothesis test (t-test) at α = 0,95 with degrees of freedom (dk) 60, obtained tcount = 3.67 and for ttable obtained 1.67. Which is tcount ≥ t table, then H0 rejected Ha accepted. It short, the result shows the improvement of students’ learning outcome between experimental class and control class after applying macromedia flash on buffer solution material at MAN Darussalam Aceh Besar.

Abstract

Chemistry subject is one of difficult subject considered by high school students. The difficulty of studying chemistry was related to the characteristics of chemistry it self Chemistry is abstract. So, in the learning process teachers should use a good and an optimal learning resources. One of learning resources that can be used is learning module. In developing learning modules, teacher can relate the subject with the science of religion. So that, besides getting knowledge about chemistry, the students can also increase the insight of religion Islam. Because of the position of education growing the value of religion, occupies a very important place. The arm of this research was to know the design of module and the eligibility of learning chemistry module based Al-qur'an and student learning result by using chemistry learning module based on Al-qur'an at SMAN 1 Aceh Barat Daya. The populations of this study were students at of X MIA in SMAN 1 Aceh Barat Daya which consist of 5 classes i.e. 150 students. While, the samples of this study were students of X MIA-3 which were consist of 24 students. This study was Research and Development (R&D). According to Borg & Gall development research was a process which used to develop and validate educational products. The techniques of Data collection was used validation sheet techniques, trials, questionnaires and giving multiple-choice test. The validation, trial, test and questionnaire result were analyzed by using percentage technique. The results showed that the percentage of validation results refers to very interesting / worthy to use that was equivalent to 85.45% and in the trial module got percentage of 93,33% and percentage of student responses included into interested criterion that was 87,91% for answer "yes" while 12.9% for answer "no" from the percentage of the chemistry module learning atomic structure materials based A-qur’an well-intentioned to use in SMAN 1 Aceh Barat Daya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) The effect of the application of M3PK and Cooperative Learning STAD to tolerance towards students and student learning outcomes. (2) Effect of computer-based multimedia and media tolerance of real objects on students and student learning outcomes. (3) The interaction between M3PK and Cooperative Learning STAD with computer-based multimedia and real objects media to tolerance towards students and student learning outcomes. (4) The most optimal learning model to improve the tolerance of students and student learning outcomes. The population in this study were all students of Madrasah Aliyah is in Banda Aceh second semester of academic year 2012/2013, and the sample was 115 people came from two classes of experiments in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Banda Aceh, and two classes of experiments in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Banda Aceh. 1 experimental class taught by Teaching Model Induces Changes in Concept (M3PK) multimedia-based computer. 1 experimental class taught by Teaching Model Induces Changes in Concept (M3PK) using media real thing. 3 experimental class taught by cooperative learning STAD type of multimedia-based computer. 4 experimental class taught by cooperative learning STAD type using media real thing. The research data were collected from a sample of students' tolerance is data obtained from observation and student learning outcome data were obtained from the achievement test in the form of multiple choice. Has made the data requirements in the form of normality and homogeneity test, which showed that normal data and homogeneous. The hypothesis was tested by Two Way ANOVA at the significant level of 0.05 using SPSS program for Windows 19 version. Based on the data analysis and hypothesis testing are carried out found that: (1) There is a significant effect of learning strategies to students' tolerance. (2) There is a significant effect of learning strategies on learning outcomes of students. (3) There is no significant effect of multimedia learning tolerance attitude towards students. (4) There is no significant effect of multimedia learning on student learning outcomes. (5) There is interaction between learning strategy and learning multimedia tolerance attitude towards students. (6) There is interaction between learning strategy with multimedia learning on student learning outcomes. (7) The model of learning that the most optimal in improving tolerance M3PK students are learning model that integrates with media use real objects in the learning process. (8) The model lesson that the most optimal in improving student learning outcomes is M3PK learning model that integrates with media use real objects in the learning process.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Study of Organic and Anorganic Waste Processing at the Unit Bank Sampah of Badan Usaha Milik Gampong (BUMG) Blang Krueng". One of the environmental problems that still need to be resolved is the waste problem. In general, people immediately throw away or burn garbage without considering the causes and effects that will arise after that. So, one of the waste management methods is organic and inorganic based waste management as practiced by the Waste Bank unit at BUMG Blang Krueng. The formulation of the problem in this study is how to manage organic and inorganic waste in the BUMG Blang Krueng Unit Bank Sampah. This research is a field study research. This is a type of qualitative research using the method of observation, interview and documentation in data collection. Data analysis was carried out descriptively from the results of observational data and documentation obtained. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the BUMG Blang Krueng Unit Bank Sampah had processed organic waste with a composting system so that compost and liquid fertilizers were obtained, as well as inorganic fertilizer processing and recycled materials such as plastic ore and other selling value materials were obtained. Keywords: 1. Abstract

The ineffectiveness of teaching materials is characterized by the complexity of the language for the chemistry textbooks and to maximize the goals of the 2013 curriculum which is the background for be developed of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) based modules on thermochemistry subject at SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh. The purpose of this researching was to develop teaching material products in order to fixed the problems that found in SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh by looking at the validity of the products developed through expert validator assessments and seeing feedback from the responses of teachers and students. Type of this research is development research using the ADDIE model as a research design. The instruments used in this development research were interview sheets, validation sheets, teacher response questionnaire sheets, and student response questionnaire sheets. After processing the data on the validation sheet, the total percentage validation average score is 90.3%, so it is included in the very valid category. The results of the teacher's response were included in the very good category, namely 85.3%, as well as the results of the responses obtained from the responses of 28 students, namely 92.7%. The research conclusion interpreted from the results of data processing obtained is that the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) based module on thermochemical material developed at SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh is very valid and very good to use.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan kegiatan praktikum pada jenjang pendidikan menengan berperan penting dalam pembelajaran sains guna mewujudkan keterampilan pratek dan mengembangkan kelilmuan peserta didik melalui percobaan-percobaan dalam skala laboratorium. Praktikum adalah bagian dari pengajaran yang bertujuan agar peserta didik mendapat kesempatan untuk menguji dan melaksanakan secara nyata apa yang telah didapat dalam sebuah teori. Berbagai kendala dihadapi sekolah dalam memanfaatkan laboratorium, diantaranya kurangnya tenaga laboran yang berkopetensi di bidangnya, guru jarang melaksanakan praktikum, minimnya bahan kimia yang dibutuhkan pada saat praktikum dan ketidaktersediaan buku penuntun praktikum yang terbaru digunakan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pelaksanaan kegiatan praktikum kimia di SMA Negeri dalam kabupaten pidie. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak tiga sekolah yang terdiri dari SMA Negeri 1 Sigli, SMA Negeri 1 Padang Tiji dan SMA Negeri 2 Mutiara. Perlakuan penelitian ini dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu dengan menganalisis dan mendiskripsikan data observasi, lembar angket dan wawancara dari responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pelaksanaan kegiatan praktikum kimia di sma negeri tersebut terkendala dan kurang optimal dimana pemanfaatan laboratorium kimia disekolah, kurangnya laboran atau petugas khusus terlatih mengelola laboratorium, guru merasa kesulitan saat mempersiapkan keperluan praktikum dan minim bahan-bahan praktikum serta peralatan yang mengalami kerusakan atau tidak distandarisasi kembali. Kata kunci: Pelaksanaan Praktikum Kimia, Kabupaten Pidie.
