Abstract

Nowadays UAV’s are more common for search, rescue and surveillance.  A quadcopter UAV system is proposed to be used for aerial transportation of medicine. A Quadcopter has a drive chassis having a propeller, ESC, motor, frames and battery. The quadcopter is supported with GPS to know the exact position. To know the exact location and delivering medicine to accident area, an audio and video system is used. The quad frame built from quality materials, which are reinforced and much more stronger, this reduces arm breakage. A set of two plastic propellers, one normal and one pusher (reverse) to rotate and lift up the quadcopter. The brushless out-runner will provide more power with its high efficiency, long run times. The ESC includes programmable motor braking, soft start for helicopters and planes, timing, throttle input range and low-voltage cutoff. Lithium-Polymer (Li-Po) battery for very lightweight, small size and durability without losing charging capacity. The whole quadcopter process can be monitored and controlled by a remote control system, quadcopter will capture the live video and current status can be seen visualized and provides information about all the other exact conditions in real-time.

Abstract

Gas sensing technology has become topical research work for quite some time and we also want to protect our home asserts from any kind of hazards. In this work we take an overview on how to protect our home from fire and its safety issues based on wireless sensor network using wifi and cloud technologies. It also showcases the research done on the detection mechanism of leakage of domestic cooking gas at ambient condition. It can detect the fire, leakage of gas or smoke and sends an auto-generated email remotely to intimate the owner. We survey and examine the existing work in security system and its applications.

Abstract

In this paper, simulation using MATLAB/SIMULINK is performed withbipolar triangular fixed amplitude multi-carrier Phase Disposition (PD)PWM strategy with sine wave, Third Harmonic Injection, 60 degree Pulse Width Modulation and stepped wave reference for the chosen impedance Source based H-Type flying capacitor Multilevel Inverter (ISBH-Type FCMLI). The root means square value of the fundamental component and Total Harmonic Distortion of the output voltage which are the most important performance indices for the chosen inverter topologies are evaluated presented and compared for various references through duty ratios. From the simulation results it is observed that for various references the THD is almost similar but the root mean square value in terms of voltage is more for THI, 60 degree PWM and stepped wave reference with phase disposition strategy. The results are obtained for ma (amplitude modulation index) < 1 (under amplitude modulation index), ma=1 (normal amplitude modulation index) and ma > 1 (over amplitude modulation index).
