Abstract

The objective of research was to find out the different effects of learning using interactive Compact Disc (CD) and the one using MS. Power Point media on the learning achievement improving braking system having been controlled from the student’s prior competency. This study was taken place in SMK Muhammadiyah Karangmojo (Karangmojo Muhammadiyah Vocational Middle School) as treatment group using interactive CD and SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Playen as treatment group using MS.Powerpoint in the XI graders in the school year of 2013-2014. The sample of research was taken using multistage cluster random sampling. This study was an experimental research with covariance analysis (ANACOVA) technique. Technique of collecting data used was test. The instruments used to collect data were physical prior competency and demonstration tests of improving automobile braking system. The physical prior competency test was tested for its validity and reliability to find out the validity and the reliability of the instrument to be used in the research. The physical prior competency test was validated using Micro Computer Adaptive Test (MicroCat) version 3.00 and the reliability of test was examined using Kruder and Richardson (KR-20) formula with r11 = 0.903. Subsequently, the data on physical prior competency and on improving automobile braking system obtained were then examined using prerequisite test including Normality and Homogeneity Tests with correlational regression coefficient. Technique of analyzing data used was a covariance analysis.Considering the result of analysis at significance level (α = 0.05), it could be stated that there was a different effects of interactive Compact Disc (CD) and MS. Powerpoint uses on the learning achievement of improving braking system having been controlled from the student’s prior competency with Fobservation > Ftable (4.997 > 4.00). Using interactive CD media, the learning achievement of the students had the mean value of 80.09 better than that of those using MS.Powerpoint, of 77.28. Keywords:          Learning Media, Interactive CD, MS.Powerpoint, Achievement, Student Prior Competency.

Abstract

Comparative analysis of packaging print quality was carried out on the printed output with reference to using Computer to Film (CtF) and Computer to Conventional Plate (CtCP). The comparison of the print results from the two systems is analyzed from cost, durability, and dot gain. In this analysis, 400 gram duplex paper was used and two types of print references were used, namely CtF and CtCP. The pre-printing equipment used is the manufacture of conventional printing plates and plates. What is achieved when observing is comparing two print references with the help of a quality control (QC) tool. Before comparing the two print references, direct printing is done with the two print references, using an offset machine. The differences that exist in CtF and CtCP are caused by different irradiation processes. CtF goes through two irradiation processes while CtCP is in the irradiation process using only lasers. The irradiation process using a laser is uneven and makes the plate not get a raster (neat) result. This process is very influential with the result of the trigger. CtF goes through an iterative process but the results appear better than CtCP.Keywords— Print packaging, Duplex, CtF, CtCp

Abstract

The printing industry is an industry that focuses on printing results. Controlling the consistency of print colors is a very important matter in order to be able to produce a package through printed packaging with good quality. Some aspects that affect color consistency are wetting water and engine maintenance, besides that there are still many aspects that have an effect. Good quality is seen from several factors and one of them is the color of the print. To produce good print quality, it is necessary to maintain color consistency during the printing process in order to minimize the possibility of printing out of color range. This study aims to find the factors that influence the consistency of the color of the packaging print. Descriptive method is used in this research, with the approach of field observations and in-depth interviews. Analysis of the results using the Fishbone diagram. The findings that have been recorded are several findings, both in print aspects, aspects that affect print color and problems controlling the consistency of print colors. Print aspects that need to be considered are colors, registers, and text. Aspects that affect the color of the print are wetting water, printing ink, machine, and ink roll. factors that must be considered in order to create a quality printed packaging that is consistent with color, including man, machine, material, method, measurement, and environment factors. The solution to this problem is to improve the quality of man, machine, material, method, measurement, and environment factors. Keywords— Control, Color Consistency, Print, Packaging
