Abstract

Abstrak PT Juang Jaya Abdi Alam (JJAA) Kabupaten Lampung Selatan adalah perusahaan peternakan sapi yang menghasilkan limbah kotoran sapi yang cukup besar (sekitar 198.000 kg per hari). Limbah kotoran sapi berpotensi untuk menghasilkan biogas yang memiliki nilai ekonomi. Salah satu reaktor biogas yang cocok digunakan di daerah tropis adalah Covered Lagoon Anaerobic Reactor (CoLAR). Model ini hanya berupa kolam yang diberi penutup kedap gas yang diberi pipa dan pompa. Penelitian dilakukan untuk menganalisis potensi dan kelayakan finansial agroindustri biogas limbah kotoran sapi di PT Juang Jaya Abdi Alam (JJAA) Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Penelitian menggunakan metode telaah pustaka, pengamatan, analisis kuantitatif, dan diskusi dengan para pakar yang terkait agroindustri biogas limbah kotoran sapi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa PT JJAA memiliki potensi yang tinggi yaitu dari 9000 sapi mampu menghasilkan energi listrik untuk 203 pelanggan dengan daya listrik terpasang 1300 VA. Berdasarkan studi kelayakan secara finansial, agroindustri biogas layak dijalankan karena memenuhi kriteria kelayakan usaha, yaitu: Net Present Value (NPV) sebesar Rp77.353.897.714,- ; Internal Rate of Return (IRR) sebesar 42,52 %, nilai Net Benefit/Cost Ratio (Net B/C) sebesar 4,51 dan Payback Period selama 2,22 tahun. Hasil analisis sensitivitas menunjukkan bahwa kenaikan harga input sampai 23% menyebabkan proyek menjadi tidak layak.Kata kunci: agroindustri, biogas, studi kelayakan AbstractPT Juang Jaya Abdi Alam (JJAA) at South Lampung Regency, is a cattle-breeding company that produces a large amount of cow manure (around 198,000 kg per day). Cow manure has the potential to produce biogas that has economic value. Covered Lagoon Anaerobic Reactor (CoLAR) is a biogas reactor that suitable for tropics climate. This model is quite simple; only a pond that is given a gas-tight cover, pipe, and pump. The study was conducted to analyze the potential and the financial feasibility of cow manure waste-based biogas agroindustry in PT JJAA. The study methods used are literature studies, observations, surveys, and interviews with experts correlated to the development of biogas agroindustry for cow manure. The results of the analysis show that PT JJAA has a high potential of 9000 cows capable of producing electrical energy for 203 customers with installed electric power of 1300 VA. Based on a financial feasibility study, biogas agroindustry is feasible to run because it meets the business feasibility criteria, namely: NPV of Rp. 77,353,897,714; IRR of 42.52%, Net B/C ratio value of 4.51 and payback period of 2.22 years. The results of the sensitivity analysis show that an increase in input prices of up to 23% has caused the project to be unfeasible.Keywords: agroindustry, biogas, feasibility study

Abstract

Peramalan dan manajemen persedian merupakan salah satu factor penting dalam menentukan keberlanjutan usuatu usaha dalam industri.  Tujuan penelitian yaitu menganalisis metode peramalan penjualan yang paling sesuai untuk industri gula PT. XYZ dan menganalisis teknik pengendalian persediaan  dengan menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantitiy  (EOQ).  Terdapat 5 metode  peramalan yang digunakan yaitu : Linear Regression, Moving Average, Weighted Moving Average, Exponential Smoothing, dan exponential smoothing with trend.  Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa metode linear regression merupakan metode forecasting yang paling sesuai digunakan oleh industri gula PT. XYZ dengan nilai MAD, MSE, dan MAPE terkecil dibandingkan metode lainnya yaitu sebesar 7.195, 65.854.060, dan 10%, dengan hasil peramalan pada tahun 2019 sebesar 44.746 ton gula pasir.  Hasil analisis pengendalian persediaan menggunakan metode EOQ  terhadap bahan baku pembantu belerang dan soda kaustik .  Frekuensi pemesanan untuk belerang dilakukan  28 kali per tahun memilikitotal biaya persediaan sebesar Rp. 1.010.908.000 dan biaya penghematan sebesar Rp. 19.581.365.  dan pembantu causatic soda dengan frekuensi pemesanan 27 kali per tahun memiliki total biaya persediaan sebesar Rp. 922.241.500 dan biaya penghematan sebesar Rp. 17.840.930.

Abstract

Medicinal herbs are stimulants made from various types of medicinal plants which function to stimulate children's appetite. One of the drawbacks of herbal punching is that it is bitter in taste and the aroma is less favorable so that it takes effort to make herbal punching a preferred product, namely by processing the herbs into candy. The purpose of this study was to obtain the concentration of agar flour as a gelling agent for the best sensory and chemical properties of the herbal squeezed candy. The treatments were gelatin concentrations of 1%, 1.2%, 1.4%, 1.6%, 1.8% and 2%. The study used a Complete Randomized Block Design (CRBD) and further test of the Least Significant Difference. The results showed that the best agar concentration was 1.6% with candy products which had an aroma score of 3.73 (not typical of herbal medicine), a texture score of 4.16 (chewy), a taste score of 3.66 (sweet) and 80. % of children's panelists said they liked it. The herbal medicine jelly candy has water content of 12.61%, reducing sugar of 9.48, ash content of 8.96%. All meet SNI except ash content. Keywords: herbal punching, jelly candy,  jelly flour

Abstract

The increase in public coffee consumption is influenced by lifestyle, technological support and the emergence of various choices of coffee. Herbal coffee is generally made by adding herbal powder, infusion, and drying. Soaking techniques with peppermint oil to make herbal coffee have never been studied. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of robusta coffee treated with soaking time and peppermint oil concentration on chemical characteristics, sensory and antimicrobial activity. Randomized Complete Group Design method with two factors was performed in this study. The first factor is soaking time (L) which consists of 0 (L0), 5 (L1), and 10 (L2) min. The second factor was peppermint oil concentration consisting of 0% (K0); 0.5% (K1); and 0.75% (K2). The results showed that the soaking time and concentration of peppermint oil can increase the water content and pH. The peppermint coffee showed antimicrobial activity against Salmonella typhi and Eschericia coli bacteria with an inhibition diameter of 8.72-13.16 mm and 9.88-12.24 mm, respectively. The peppermint coffee of L1K1 treatment (5 min soaking time; 0.5% peppermint concentration), is preferred by panelists with sensory test scores on taste (6.15), aroma (7.09), aftertaste (5.32), and overall (6.16). Keywords: Coffee bean, Concentration, Peppermint oil, Robusta coffee, Soaking time.
